i wonder if entrepreneurism grows or dies now that

1) much more competition, harder to make it, MNCs wiping out SMEs (see local businesses shutting down due to rental etc. or getting undercut in pricing)
2) incredibly easy to start something (an app or tool)

one of my main prompts in life: if you leave this world no better than before, can you say you’ve truly lived? do good, no matter how small always
today, i reconnected with a friend after 2-3 years, and was told that our conversations back then has helped her a lot in terms of growth

was happy to have received those kind words (and a card!)

if you leave this world no better than before, can you say you’ve truly lived?

even if its just one person, i think its better than none

anything above zero compounds!

Artificial intelligence accelerates everything. It shortens the distance between intention and action.

But speed without direction leads nowhere — faster.

Today, millions of Koreans move from message to purchase, from question to decision, without pausing. It feels like progress.

In many ways, it is. But progress that replaces thinking with convenience comes at a cost.

In the age of AI agents, the most important skill may not be prompting or coding.

It may be the simple habit of thinking — before tapping “Confirm.”

yknow whats ironic, i think this article was written by AI based on initial read off cadence, format, and sharpness

agree with how we pause lesser and lose intention in doing things, now that everything is much easier with AI

the thinking process slowly becomes non-existent and soon intention disappears
Telegony

A biological theory suggesting that a previous mate can influence the characteristics of a female's future offspring by a different male.

It has largely been debunked, but has worked on animals.

good read on why Gen Z doesn't just consume the past, but inhabit it

We think of time as being continuous, as involving one event following naturally, causally after a preceding event. But living within the digital archive disintegrates our basic, linear perception of time. Since every era is equally available, and all events are potentially happening at the same time, the chain of causality and influence breaks down completely.

The internet functions to preserve everything, and it’s easy to get lost in that great, gray sea. The problem of selection, of where to put your attention, is increasingly grave and increasingly intractable. The mind cannot find a definite port-of-call in this endlessly heaving, endlessly shifting reality. Curating vibes isn’t enough.
“You sensed that you should be following a different path, a more ambitious one, you felt that you were destined for other things but you had no idea how to achieve them and in your misery you began to hate everything around you.”

― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Netochka Nezvanova

feels like internet has done a lot of distancing and dissociation in general

we’ve been watching others and news happenings through social media like a ‘digital zoo’, which numbed us over time

these are real wars, even if the scale is not the same as WW1 or WW2

probably not just be a singaporean thing, maybe it’s what the internet has done to us

this war is also mostly executed through drone warfare, which is another topic of dissociation in taking a life as well

this is going viral on some reddit threads, even international subreddits

thinking about it, it might have been a 5-head marketing 180 IQ move by her as an influencer

publicity is publicity and simps will simp

people will forget about this comment in a few days (it's not severe enough to cause her major repercussions in livelihood), and she will get more followers from people that found her pretty/went to look up her profile from this viral post

well, probalistically speaking it's lower than her just being ignorant, but if true then i actually think its genius
