writing some short articles for work and when i ran my writing through Gemini, it tells me parts of it feels AI-generated

does it mean that my writing style the past years even before AI has been AI-like

what do i make of this...

AI is trained on data from us people, so it speaks and writes in our style

there will always be parts that sound AI because it is a descendant of us!

i've come to observe that regardless of how many times you tell AI to "make it more human", it can never do it

makes you think of all those people boasting their sub-agents researching viral tiktoks, creating content, and posting autonomously

their posts will never truly sound or feel human

this is more pronounced for writings than videos, because the visual aspects activates a second sense which makes it more believable

i think this is the part where the widely used word 'taste' comes in, because AI will never have it

just ask your AI to churn out a short piece, then prompt it multiple times to "make it more human"

you can even use multiple different AIs across chat, gemini, perplexity, claude, etc.

the result still reeks AI regardless

im still manually writing everyday, but the fact that i read AI-generated content everyday, so my writing styles got affected

stumbled upon this phrase today and my interpretation of it is that when there is no basis of comparison (aka you can't compare), then there is no competition

feels applicable to situations of envy or comparisons in general

looks like we have majority in discussions of interesting topics & like-mindedness

a big reason why i chose to start humblespace is to bring together a community of like-minded people and i hope it continues growing this way

a small corner of the internet to find your people, rest, and learn about random things (even yourself), away from the ai nonsense thats proliferating around us

why do it alone when others could potentially benefit and enjoy it too?

my take is that small spaces like this will continue growing over time as well

i wonder if entrepreneurism grows or dies now that

1) much more competition, harder to make it, MNCs wiping out SMEs (see local businesses shutting down due to rental etc. or getting undercut in pricing)
2) incredibly easy to start something (an app or tool)

today, i reconnected with a friend after 2-3 years, and was told that our conversations back then has helped her a lot in terms of growth

was happy to have received those kind words (and a card!)

if you leave this world no better than before, can you say you’ve truly lived?

even if its just one person, i think its better than none
