Kegan’s Theory of Adult Development

However, most of us — about 65% of the general population — never become high functioning ‘adults’, i.e. we never make it past Stage 3 (out of 5 Stages!). We still lack an independent sense of self because so much of what we think, believe, and feel is dependent on how we think others experience us.

currently testing out WisprFlow for voice dictation came across heylemon today that looks pretty cool too, but seems early stage and i won't risk it as of yet starting to contemplate purchasing a second blank laptop just to try out new tech
not sure why wisprflow does this, but it has been happening often

i'm quite sure i speak decent english, but i'm getting malay transcripts from time to time

early tech issue? or maybe its my skill issue

interesting study on the fertility effect of permanent wage growth

TLDR:
Men’s wage increase -> extra income gets channeled into more food for the table, bigger/safer car, ability to support more kids =more children.

Women’s wage increase -> extra income funds personal consumption + raises the opportunity cost of time out for pregnancy+childcare = fewer children.

Stricter parenting is harder, but is associated with better parent-child relationships
cognitive warfare that most don't even know is happening:

china caps tiktok access domestically, but exports unlimited and unrestricted dopamine to the rest of the world

dulls the mind of every other country, while maintaining their own
