Did you know that chemotherapy originates from mustard gas, a chemical warfare agent developed for the battlefields of WWI and II?
Many people might be surprised to learn that to this very day, many chemotherapeutic agents are still manufactured from mustard gas derivatives.
Go figure.

Hormonal changes are not the cause of menopausal symptoms.
We are told that the cause of menopausal symptoms, like hot flushes, mood swings, insomnia, and osteoporosis are due to low estrogen levels.
The problem with this idea is that native menopausal tribeswomen, who live a traditional lifestyle, do not suffer from menopausal symptomsβdespite having low estrogen.
Something else is responsible, so what's going on?
Well, when native women adopt a modern western diet and lifestyle, guess what happens? They begin experiencing the hallmark symptoms of menopausal syndrome.
There's something desperately wrong with the way we are doing things.

We're told our ancestors had an average life expectancy of just 35 years. However, this number is heavily skewed due to a high infant mortality rate. Once an individual made it to adolescence, life expectancy increased to 70 and beyond.
This is exemplified by the work of Dr Isaac Levin from Columbia University. In 1910, he analysed census data, finding the proportion of elderly native American Indians far exceeded that of the white population. There were approximately 68 Indians per thousand aged 60 β 89 years, compared to 65 in the white population. In those aged 95 - 99 years, there were 537 Indians per million, compared to just 51 whitesβa 10-fold difference.
These startling findings were in agreement with Dr Ales Hrdlicka's, curator of Antrhopology at the National Museum. In 1908, he published a report showing there were 224 Indians per million aged 100 years and over, compared to just three amongst the whitesβa 75-fold difference.
Are we really living longer than our ancestors?

CAN YOU CATCH A COLD? with Daniel Roytas
What if our firmly held beliefs about why we get sick are mistaken and not actually supported by scientific research? If so, our methods of prevention and treatment, including the use of vaccines, also fall into question.

Juhi and Arjun Chhabra recently had me on their podcast "Wellness and Beyond".
We had an insightful discussion about a range of different topics including vitamin supplements, food synergy, why re-thinking health is important, mind-power and the placebo / nocebo effect, and the importance of connecting with nature. They have just started their channel and have a couple of good podcast episodes up already.
Check out Juhi and Arjun's website.
