Historically, when currency is switched, the existing currency gets devalued. As to how much we don’t know, but with the US printing money into infinity and debt ceiling climbing exponentially, it’s sure to be significant. More countries have stopped using the dollar. Africa joined BRICS and the digital yuan will be used for oil in the Middle East.

Convert all savings/wealth into physical assets like land, precious metals, art, collectibles, ammo etc. If you have crypto, remove from exchanges and put on offline storage where you own the keys. 99% of crypto will crash and only a few will survive. Crypto that have utility and will be a part of the new financial digital system will thrive. Cyber attacks or another pandemic could speed up the timeline. Dowd said the bank consolidation could happen sooner to usher in CBDCs.
