Some early thoughts on Silksong:

-The platforming is very nice and I love the new abilities
-The combat feels good but I do prefer Hollow Knight's combat system. I like at least that there is a crest that makes the attacks more Hollow Knight-esque
-The new bind mechanic is much nicer than focus and allows a lot more opportunities to heal
-The bosses are kind of boring. They are entertaining, but they're not very creative and there's way too many flying bosses. I think most of the bosses fly or are suspended in the air, actually, which is a shame because there's only so much you can do with that (mainly charge attacks :p). Hollow Knight's bosses being grounded for the most part made the fights feel more like a dance, which is missing in a lot of these new fights. Another issue with the bosses is that they rely heavily on spawning swarms of small enemies to be harder. There are some stand out bosses, but not many get a proper build up.
-I'm always broke (and not from dying and losing the rosaries)
-The story is a bit slow to get into. At the beginning the main motive is just basically deal with the people who captured you. It's meh but later on it does flesh out and become much more interesting
-The world doesn't feel limiting and is either very open or very good at directing the player because I haven't felt lost or stuck (besides being trapped in one of the areas because you need to unlock something in there to leave, but the way to do it wasn't very clear. Maybe I'm just bad at reading)
-For some of the abilities you unlock, you just stumble upon them, which is a downgrade from Hollow Knight. In Hollow Knight the abilities are a part of the world and fit thematically with how you get them, which is not the case here
-The tools are great, though a bit tough to use because of the way the binds are set up. The "charms" are lacking, however. I don't think there's as much of a variety as Hollow Knight's system had, even though many of those charms would end up unused anyways. I will say, though, that for the charms that there are, they are very nice to have.
-I hate the Shakra npc (the map giver). Her song sucks, her design is stupid, and if she ever assists you in battle she just griefs you by obscuring the screen a ton.
-I like the Lace character even though we don't see much of her early on (I don't even know how much we see of her later on but she's supposed to be like this game's hornet, I think)
-Speaking of NPC's, there are not a lot of them that stand out. There are some fun events that happen at the main hub, though.
-Hornet being able to have dialogue is very interesting
-The enemies in the harder regions are very interesting

Okay that's all :))

The bosses are kind of boring.
quick update: the main storyline bosses are very good (what a coincidence they are all grounded bosses)
