Google introduced a code change to the Pixel 6’s PowerHAL config file on July 9th. Its description suggests that Google internally called the Face Unlock feature “Tuscany,” and was working to improve its impact on the battery by boosting the CPU clusters for a more precise time window.

Previously, YouTube conducted an experiment on hiding the number of dislikes, in which it found that it leads to less desire of users to press the dislike just to increase the counter.

"We're sorry for the alert you received. Not to worry, we've resolved this issue and you can disregard it."

Also, in a conversation with 9to5Google, the company said there should be “no” impact for people that have installed yesterday's OTA, and that a future update will return their device to the correct carrier build.

​​🇬🇧 Want a Pixel 5 with the Tensor chip? Google was probably testing one

XDA Recognized Developer Freak07, digging through the Pixel 6 sources, came across the kernel device tree files for two variants of the Tensor SoC, internally referred to as gs101. The first variant is codenamed gs101-a0 and the second is gs101-b0. gs101-b0 is the SoC in the Pixel 6 series, but this is the first time we've heard of gs101-a0.

The gs101-a0 is related to a certain Pixel device codenamed Whitefin. The device had the same specs as the Pixel 5, but was equipped with a Tensor SoC processor. It looks like Google was testing a variant of the Pixel 5 with the Tensor SoC processor, which never saw the light of day.
