In case someone needs a workaround for the time being: Drag another icon onto the shortcut to create a folder. You can then delete said folder with its content.

Android 15 QPR2 Beta 1 tweaked the position of the gesture bar in landscape mode.
It used to be indented from the display cutout. That is, it was “centered” as if the display cutout area did not exist.
Now it is centered relative to the full width of the display, so is not indented from the display cutout anymore.
