Given that intense rage over the anodyne NY Times Editorial is somehow into its fifth day or whatever, I'd like to ask those who deny that censorship mania and authoritarianism have consumed the liberal-left to reconcile that denialism with this extremely stark 2021 polling data:

A Brazilian Supreme Court justice today banned the secure app Telegram from operating in all of Brazil, citing its failure to obey prior court orders to ban users from the platform and asserting the prevalence on Telegram of hate speech and disinformation

Yesterday was a flagship day in corporate media. It was the day they were forced to explicitly state what has long been clear: they not only favor censorship but desperately crave and depend on it.

Even if Musk doesn't buy Twitter, never forget what yesterday revealed.

These so-called #NeverTrump GOP operatives and neocons started off pretending they were still the same conservatives as always, just horrified by Trump.

But now they have jettisoned almost every view they held, with no explanation, and are full-fledged Dems and nothing more.
What is a "disinformation expert"?

Does it require a particular degree? Is there some licensing board or official certification issued? What credentials, scholarship or accomplishments are needed to justify someone being lavished with this pompous label?

It's a bullshit fraud.
Look at what the NYT considers bad and dangerous:
Given the CIA's traditional role in Brazil (overthrowing its democratically elected center-left government in 1964, then training and supporting the brutal 21-year-old military dictatorship that followed), this new CIA directive is producing interesting responses in Brazil:
On the weekly getcallin

Everything about being a father is awesome -- except having to see those shit Marvel movies. Smiles were all pre-viewing.
The NYT -- usually on board with bipartisan DC war policies -- began signaling resistance when this great news article on the House's approval of Biden's $40b, noting how most lawmakers were too scared to ask questions or voice their long-standing views:

Meanwhile, the foreign policy adviser of Bernie Sanders -- who joined every Dem in voting for BIden's $40b war package - continues the tradition of Dems going to the TNR to scold the left (he singles out Lula and Chomsky) for being insufficiently pro-war:

AOC, 12/2020, on Antifa activists menacing politicians in public: Activists *should* be impolite. "The whole point of protesting is to make ppl uncomfortable."

AOC, last night, to protesters confronting her for funding Biden's proxy war: I won't answer you! "You're being ruude!"
That incredibly brazen, glaringly politicized and complete reversal in "public health advice" was a major turning point for me, as it was for many, in trusting health authorities.

What Fauci did in declaring the "lab leak" theory off-limits is way worse.
