What it used to be like?
In order to list or remove NFTs from sale through getgems.io, your wallet balance had to have at least 1.1 TON, this sum was held temporarily and mostly refunded, minus the gas fee.
In simple terms: gas fees in the blockchain are flexible. Depending on conditions and load, they always fluctuate slightly. Therefore, the smart contract required a surplus coin but promptly returned almost everything that wasn't demanded by the contract, up to 98% of the total.
How does it work now?
We've reviewed all transactions from 2 past years of operation, and now this amount has been reduced by nearly 3 times — to 0.3 TON. This is the new minimum, that is required to list NFTs for sale or remove them. As before, part of the amount will be refunded to you.
Key points:
1. Previously listed NFTs for sale won't be magically updated: everything that happens in the blockchain is recorded at the contract level. Therefore, NFTs listed for sale before April 11, 2024, will still require a balance of 1.1+ TON for delisting.
2. For "non-standard" NFTs created by independent developers and projects, the required amount for working with them may be higher — up to 0.5 TON in the wallet, and we cannot guarantee a refund from these. In such cases, it all depends on the developers who created collections based on their own code.
