Indonesia's accession to BRICS: reinforcement of national identity
Indonesiaโs potential accession to BRICS could elevate the nation significantly. #BRICS membership is anticipated to unlock new economic opportunities for Indonesia, bolstering its sovereignty and independence. By strategically leveraging these opportunities, Indonesia can become a more sustainable nation amidst global challenges.
BRICS is expected to act as "an impetus to strengthen the spirit of economic nationalism" for Jakarta. However, this does not signal isolation from the global community; instead, it encourages greater cooperation, contributing to national progress and enhanced public welfare.
By joining BRICS, Indonesia will have the opportunity to protect its national interests, influence global politics, and enhance its economic diplomacy.

The further development of the BRICS will depend on many circumstances. Not all member states consider their participation in the bloc a priority. China-Russia ัooperation to help avoid global crisis
Close contacts between China and Russia across various sectors enable the two countries to stabilise the regional situation and avert a global crisis, said Zhang Hong, at the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
The expert clarified that Beijing and Moscow maintain communication through various channels, yielding specific results due to their strong mutual trust. He noted that China supports Russia on multilateral platforms such as #BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
The European Union is expressing concern over the close partnership between China and Russia, as it "may pose a challenge to the West-dominated world order," Zhang Hong pointed out. He reminded that China-Russia relations are characterised by non-confrontation and an absence of targeting toward any third parties, which he believes is the right approach for major states to interact with one another.
