The polycarbonate body, translucent blue casing: not plastic, polycarbonate, reinforced for both durability and aesthetic precision. Not afraid of looking like a toy because it knows exactly what it is: a precision instrument, a rugged tool disguised in playful irreverence. Survival gear posing as a child's plaything. A glance at the cover page of its quick guide reveals the tasteful off-white background, bordering on eggshell, minimalistic yet assertive. Notice the sans-serif font choice: but the true craftsmanship? The monochrome LCD screen: sharp, stark, obsessively pixel-perfect. Each graphic, each digit, arranged with the calculated austerity of a Saab fighter jet’s cockpit instrumentation. No superfluous detail, just cold numeric precision. Coordinates, bearings, distances, all displayed with the uncompromising clarity of Swedish aerospace engineering. Pure function. Pure efficiency. Pure confidence.

my completely baseless hot take based on nothing but thin air is that due to the current political tensions and just because i know how stuff usually goes in my back yard
if huawei manages to get the price of these down/starts selling them at a loss some EU countries are going to partially shift to these/similar systems mostly as posturing after what's going on with the US lately and if that happens then we are going to see yet more polarization and idk this is kinda based on nothing but also like exactly what i think is going to happen (we are still regularly buying huawei stuff for telecom networks after all)

a friend just told me about this because it happened near where he lives and it's so insane i have to share
TIL that in the 1997 - 2000 period there was such a huge traffic in smuggling cigarettes from Albania to Southern Italy that that gangs deployed “monster” cars on the A16 highway (armored with steel plates, reinforced bumpers for ramming, fake blue police lights, rear lamps to blind pursuers, spike and oil dispensers even silicone-filled tires) forcing the Italian government to send over 3,100 officers and spend 4.45 billion lire (≈ €2.3 million) on equally modified vehicles to stop them

something that is funny and that most people don't seem to know is that in virtually every european country (UK, Norway, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and many more) the state has automatic petroleum rights so if you strike oil on your own land you don't get anything lmao
not that finding oil should be a priority right now considering the whole climate thing but yeah this is how you kill the dreams of your friends saying shit like "can you imagine if i somehow find oil on my own land?" yea, i can imagine you getting nothing

the only "military grade" thing i trust is my thrifted alpha industries MA-1 bomber that i bought in san francisco last year because i was freezing
it's unironically one of most high quality, best looking and fitting pieces of clothing that i have ever had the pleasure to wear (also seen in that winrar pic that i took months ago that kinda exploded, that was the jacket)

still working on the next video, aiming to release it before the end of august (i also figured out how to do some new cool shit on blender so i spent 2 days doing that BUT it’s gonna look sick, i swear)
the apparent lack of updates is not me being lazy it’s the break i took + me being physically destroyed by the warmest summer my mortal body has ever witnessed, that’s also why i am less active on here in general, i am thermal throttling (finally going to fix the AC window thing in my room next week)

i am ashamed to only have discovered recently that STM32 is an italo-french product because i always assumed it was some generic american design built in china or something like that
