Bagaskara nampak bahagia hari ini. Cahayanya menyinari bumi tak pilih kasih, tak pula menyengat manusia yang sedang bertaruh nyawa. Jalanan kabupaten belum ramai, sengaja berangkat ke sekolah sebelum orang dewasa berangkat membanting tulang.

Sialnya, belum lama aku memuji suasana pagi ini Perempatan Renggok dekat Pasar Turinting macet. Ini pasti karena ibu-ibu langganan Ibu Jen, pedagang sayur lodeh paling enak se-kabupaten. Setiap tanggal 18 Bu Jen akan jualan di perempatan, padahal biasanya Bu Jen berjualan di pinggir mall. Aku sudah pernah bertanya alasannya, dijawab, "Ya suka suka saya, dek."

Alhasil, aku baru sampai 10 menit lebih lama dari perkiraanku, untung saja tidak telat. Aku langsung menuju kelas, duduk di sebelah Luthvi yang merupakan teman sebangku. Baru mendudukkan pantat, Luthvi sudah melempar tanya, "Tumben baru sampai?"

"Aku lupa ini tanggal 18, kamu tau sendiri macet perempatan kalau ada Bu Jen, Pi," keluhku pada Luthvi. Mengetahui alasanku, Luthvi hanya menertawakan. Karena memang dasarnya kecerobohanku sendiri yang tidak melihat tanggal.

Luthvi membuka mulut lagi untuk meledek, "Pegel dong pagi-pagi udah kena macet. Pasti disemprot emak-emak juga, kan?" Ledekan Luthvi hanya mendapat balasan muka kecut, malas menanggapi.

Suara ketukan di pintu kelas terdengar, terlihat Hier, anak ekskul teater, muncul dari balik pintu. Kedatangannya bukan tanpa sebab, terlihat secarik kertas di tangannya yang bertuliskan surat dispensasi, "Permisi, ada Azrael nggak?"

Mendengar namaku disebut, aku langsung menghampiri Hier yang berdiri di depan pintu dan bertanya, "Kenapa?"

"Hayu latihan, ini surat dispennya," ucap Hier yang menyodorkan kertas yang dia bawa. Aku jadi teringat, hari ini anak teater harus gladi bersih untuk event sekolah besok.

Karena itu, aku langsung beranjak, "Sebentar, Hier. Mau naroh suratnya di meja guru dulu."
