Bulldozed Corpses And Unmarked Graves, CNN Investigates The Fate Of Gaza’s Missing Aid Seekers

A CNN investigation now points to the Israeli military bulldozing the bodies of some of those killed near the crossing into shallow, unmarked graves. At other times, their remains were simply left to decompose in the open, unable to be recovered in the militarized area.

The practice of mishandling bodies by bulldozing them into unmarked graves can violate international law, according to legal experts.

CNN’s review, which also found that aid seekers were killed by indiscriminate Israeli fire near the crossing, drew upon hundreds of videos and photos from around Zikim, along with interviews of eyewitnesses and local aid truck drivers.

Satellite imagery also shows bulldozing activity throughout the summer in the areas where aid seekers were killed. Two videos, geolocated by CNN to the Zikim area, show the aftermath of an incident in June, depicting bodies partially buried around an overturned aid truck.

CNN spoke with two former Israeli military members who described instances elsewhere in Gaza during the war in which the bodies of Palestinians were bulldozed into shallow graves....

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) denied that it used bulldozers to “remove” bodies, but did not address whether they were used to bury them. The IDF told CNN the presence of bulldozers around Zikim was a “routine matter” used for operational purposes, such as dealing with explosive threats or “routine engineering needs.”

I will tell a story about public debt.

Let's call it cosmic debt. You could spend that - no, it's not a farce - for this money, a Pole could be sent to Mars. It's worth asking who incurred the debt, who distracts attention from the painful problem. Who should be blamed for the state of affairs, and who should be compensated for the wrongs. The problem is the successive governments, they implement old social superstitions. It doesn't matter which party, the theft tactics are always as follows: Milk the budget goes to the bottom, PiS SLD PSL and PO. Governing for them is a trick, they try not to leave any evidence.
Sometimes someone lurking somewhere, the Minister got his bite before he passed it. The hole in the budget is the result of looting, the Minister squandered it, the hair stands on end. When the matter leaks to the hostile media, they use other remedies. A simple trick is enough, "the cross is adored, the cross is ridiculed..." People are arguing about monuments, not who is stealing from taxpayers. Young, educated and probably from the reservation, shaking their faces under the cross, they will forget about the VAT increase. This is a single-celled organism with an ingested, still alive, multi-cellular organism inside its cell.

The single-celled organism is a Stentor. They can grow a few millimeters in length, the largest one ive seen is almost as long as a grain of rice. They feed on all sorts of microscopic organisms, and this one swallowed a multi-cellular organism, a Rotifer with organs, a simple brain, muscles, and even two little eyes

These two are just single-celled organisms; basically a bunch of building blocks and cell machinery wrapped in a membrane, and here you can see what happens when that membrane bursts and spills its contents out.

The smaller organism, Holophrya, has harpoon-like structures around its cell mouth that are expelled to immobilize prey. They usually go after smaller microorganisms or decomposing organic matter, so this whole scene was so unexpected my jaw was on the floor.

When I found these two, Holophrya’s little harpoons had already fired and pierced the cell membrane of the larger organism, a Stentor, and it was tugging on the Stentor’s membrane. After a few seconds, the membrane popped almost like a balloon, and the Stentor’s cell contents spilled into the environment for Holophrya to feed on.

Holophrya has sensory mechanisms that let it detect the chemical signals coming from the spilled contents of the Stentor. So it kept swimming around for minutes, swallowing all the soup-like cytoplasm droplets and solid chunks of organelles, and even the bits of lunch Stentor had earlier.

While Holophrya was feeding on its spilled “guts,” the Stentor was busy repairing the hole in its membrane. Although it lost a lot of cell mass, Stentor has the ability to recover from all this and regenerate its deformed cell back to normal like nothing has happened. I wish I had that skill of regenerating emotionally, I’m like a savant of sad memories and broken cell membranes. 😂

Tardigrades of horniness and despair!

You are watching these tardigrades “doing it” with their little pitch-black eyes looking around shamelessly. Please forgive me for using so many euphemisms to describe this process, as I try not to get flagged by the social media platform.

Tardigrades, or commonly known as water bears, are microscopic animals; they have four pairs of legs, two pitch-black eyes, and some species have the will to “bump uglies” for two hours straight, for real! 😂 Over the past couple of years, I’ve gotten quite familiar with this species “mashing the potatoes” in my samples like there’s no tomorrow every fall and spring. The larger one here is a female and the smaller one is a male. The females develop ready-to-be-fertilized eggs called oocytes; you can see the oocytes in the back of her body, right behind the dark stomach contents. The males have one very large “macadamia nut,” stretching from the back of the neck all the way down to the bum, and it’s full of “tadpoles of destiny.”

When the females are ready to “roll in the hay,” they release chemical signals into the environment, and the males come running. I separated some couples by poking them with a single strand of a cat whisker, and the males found the females again in just a couple of minutes, marching through the debris on the slide, probably singing an encouraging song like “I’m Not Afraid” by Eminem. When the males find the females, they hop on their backs and cling on with their long claws, doing this for about two hours in some cases. One research paper even describes the process as “requiring mutual stimulation.” Then the males release hundreds of “gene torpedoes” into the water, and some of those find the opening on the female exoskeleton and fertilize the eggs. Later, the females lay the eggs into a half-shed exoskeleton and carry them around for a few days until they hatch.

Occasionally, one female gets surrounded by “red-eyed” males. I recorded one with four males rhythmically “hipping” the female for an hour. There are huge gaps in the literature on this topic, but some other tardigrade groups reproduce without males altogether. With or without the spicy “carpet-shagging” habits, they are so fascinating.
