🇮🇶: 🇮🇷 | Iraq is preparing to receive the sacred bodies of Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei and his martyred family members in the holy cities of Imam Ali (A) in Najaf and Imam Husayn (A) in Karbala.

Around 30,000 Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al Shaabi) personnel have been deployed to oversee security, crowd management, and the funeral ceremonies. The Prime Minister of Iraq has declared Wednesday an official public holiday, while most Iraqi provinces have also announced public holidays to facilitate participation.

Thousands of buses, private vehicles, and organized convoys are already arriving in Baghdad, Najaf, and Karbala from every province of Iraq. The movement of pilgrims now resembles the annual Ashura and Arbaeen mobilizations, with continuous streams of mourners heading toward the two holy cities. Initial estimates indicate that 14 to 15 million people are expected to participate in the funeral ceremonies across Iraq.

Hundreds of mawakib have been established to provide food, water, accommodation, medical assistance, and transportation. Security, military, and volunteer organizations are operating around the clock to ensure the smooth conduct of the ceremonies.

This funeral is expected to become one of the largest public gatherings in Iraq’s modern history and one of the largest funeral gatherings in the contemporary world. It stands as a massive public demonstration of support for Wilayat al Faqih, reaffirming the religious, spiritual, and civilizational bond between Iraq and Iran. It buries decades of attempts to divide the two nations through sectarianism, internal conflicts, and foreign interference. The gathering sends a powerful message of unity centered on the Ahlul Bayt (A), the Marja’iyyah, and the Resistance, dealing another strategic blow to those who invested for decades in fragmenting the region through intelligence operations, proxy conflicts, and sectarian narratives.

Millions gathering across Iran and Iraq are presenting a unified image of the Ummah around a shared leadership, common ideals, and the path of the Ahlul Bayt (A). The funeral of Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei marks not only the end of an era but also the beginning of a new phase in the Islamic Revolution, one that continues to shape the political, religious, and civilizational landscape of the region.
