The Islamic Republic of Iran is not paying the price for a special or isolated dispute with the Israeli and American enemies. Rather, it is paying the price for its principled stance in support of Palestine and the resistance, and for its courageous confrontation with the enemies of the nation.

Before the Islamic Revolution, Iran was one of the closest allies of the Zionists and the Americans, and they had no problem with it. This changed after the blessed Islamic Revolution, which turned Iran into the primary enemy of the Zionists and Americans and the greatest obstacle to the implementation of their plots against our region and our nation.

Therefore, it is entirely natural that we, and every free and honorable person, stand with the Islamic Republic. What is unnatural is for any Arab or Muslim to stand alongside the Zionists and Americans against himself and against those who stand on the front line defending him.

What we firmly believe, based on our faith in God and His true promises in the Holy Quran, is the inevitable demise of the Zionist entity. Likewise, the steadfastness of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the axis of jihad and resistance is inevitable, by God’s power and guidance.

We understand that this battle may require heavy sacrifices and that we may suffer losses. This is the nature of struggle and jihad. However, the final and decisive outcome of this conflict is clear victory: the uprooting of the Zionist entity, the defeat of the American project, and regret for all those who compromised with the enemy or entered into alliances with it.

To those who imagine that America can do anything, and that whatever America wills will inevitably happen, know this: God alone is capable of everything. Dominion belongs to Him over the heavens and the earth. He has soldiers in the heavens and the earth, and when He wills something, He says to it “Be,” and it is. America and the tyrants of the earth are not like that.

Remember this well: Iran is not weaker than Hamas or Gaza. Iran is not weaker than Hezbollah or southern Lebanon. Iran is not weaker than Yemen.

The Zionists and Americans have gathered unprecedented support throughout history, yet they failed over years to uproot Hamas or Hezbollah. In Yemen, they failed to stop military operations or to break the naval blockade on Israel. They have also failed for decades to defeat Iran. Even in their most recent attempt, they claimed victory, yet now speak again of aggression, which itself proves their failure.

To America, Israel, and those who follow them: your problem is not a lack of weapons, funding, or material power, for you possess immense military resources. Your true problem lies in your tyranny, criminality, and moral bankruptcy. You lack ethics, values, and justice. Because of this, God stands against you and strikes you through us.

What you have witnessed so far is only a small part of what awaits. Whoever stands against God can never achieve victory. Human history is filled with lessons about the fate of tyrants and the consequences they ultimately face.

We believe with absolute certainty that we are strong through reliance on God, faith in Him, and trust in His promise. You, by contrast, are weak, trapped in a losing battle, because you are waging war against God and His servants, whom He has promised victory, support, and empowerment.

• Ministry of Intelligence: With the intelligence and operational actions of the anonymous soldiers of Imam Zaman (AJ) in the Ministry of Intelligence, a 32-person network of the Baha’i espionage cult that was active in riots and vandalism was identified. 12 main elements were arrested and 13 were summoned.

Today we gather on the occasion of the anniversary of the noble Prophetic Mission (al-Mab‘ath), and to inaugurate the graduation ceremony of a group of memorizers of the Holy Qur’an through the Qur’an Association. We will also address some regional and global issues, and afterward speak about the internal political situation.

The noble Prophetic Mission occurred on the twenty-seventh day of the month of Rajab, when the first Qur’anic verses were revealed to the Messenger of God, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family:

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

“Read in the name of your Lord who created,

Created man from a clinging substance.

Read, and your Lord is the Most Generous,

Who taught by the pen,

Taught man what he did not know.”

These first verses marked the beginning of the noble Prophetic mission of the Messenger of God, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. It began on the twenty-seventh of Rajab and continued for twenty-three years: thirteen years in Mecca and ten years in Medina.

The noble Prophetic Mission and the blessed Mab‘ath mean that we are before the greatest day in human history, when God Almighty decided to entrust His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, with the comprehensive and complete Islamic message to be conveyed to humanity, so that people might live with insight in their lives, live happily, uprightly, and justly, and enjoy all the noble human qualities of moral excellence and sound conduct. Then, after their departure from this worldly life, they receive their reward on the Day of Resurrection for their righteous performance.

The noble Mab‘ath marks the launch of the comprehensive Islamic message through the Holy Qur’an as a complete constitution for human life, delivered by the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, the Seal of the Prophets and the master of all messengers for all humanity.

What does the noble Prophetic Mab‘ath mean?

The Mab‘ath is the path to perfection. The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: “I was sent only to perfect noble morals.”

Perfection here means completion and attaining the highest degrees of human excellence in applying divine law to worldly life.

God Almighty says in His Noble Book:
“And on the Day when We shall raise from every nation a witness against them from among themselves, and We bring you as a witness against these; and We have sent down to you the Book as a clarification of all things, and guidance, and mercy, and glad tidings for the Muslims.”

This is the purpose of the noble mission: a Book that clarifies all the principles a human being needs in life, guidance to the straight and righteous path for human living, mercy from God Almighty in that He sent us the Messenger and the message, and glad tidings to the Muslims that if they adhere to this path and this method, they will reach the highest level.

The second matter concerns this gathering, the ceremony of the Qur’an Association, held to honor 371 memorizers of the entire Holy Qur’an, along with an elite group of winners in international competitions, and also to mark the thirty-eighth anniversary of the founding of the Qur’an Association, which during this period has completed 3,712 Qur’an memorization courses. This is an important and blessed achievement.

Memorizing the Holy Qur’an is a fundamental matter, because it fills a person with sound and righteous concepts. What is required is not memorization merely for repetition, but memorization accompanied by Qur’anic sciences, proper recitation, tajwid, interpretation, understanding, and application.

What particularly caught my attention was the presence of a girl not more than eight years old who is among the memorizers of the Holy Qur’an. I spoke with her and found that she possesses precise rules of thinking and a Qur’anic culture that has influenced her way of thinking, her conduct, and her answers. This is one of the great outcomes.

We encourage memorization within an integrated framework, because it creates a Qur’anic culture, a culture of truth, and a culture of completeness and perfection, and it positively affects a person’s life.

I thank all those working in the Qur’an Association for these blessed efforts, and I encourage them to do even more, because through the Qur’an we open horizons of life toward righteousness and uprightness.

Here, the brothers informed me of news about one of the pager-attack wounded, saying that within three months he memorized fifteen parts of the Qur’an and is persevering in memorizing the remaining parts. Look at this great achievement. They say that pager victims are thought to be unable to continue or recover, but no—these people are stronger than their wounds. They are stronger, they challenge, they recover, and they present examples. Congratulations to this noble brother and to all those working in this direction. God willing, the results of the Qur’an Association’s work, especially for those being honored today, will be positive, broad, and comprehensive.

Third: the events in Iran, the events of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

What happened?

Trump wants to intervene in all regions of the world to prevent democratic life, Islamic life, and free life, and to seize wealth, resources, and oil, and to control people and their destinies, as we see in what he does across the entire world. But the distinctiveness of the Islamic Republic is that since 1979 it has been the banner of truth—neither Eastern nor Western. It is an independent state that works through the capabilities of its sons and its people. It is the state that has supported the honorable resistance throughout the region, especially the resistance against the Israeli occupation, which is a cancerous tumor at the level of the region and the world.

They have tried to punish and weaken the Islamic Republic. They have left no war, no sanctions, and no pressure without imposing it on the Islamic Republic for more than forty-six years, and this continues. But they saw that this people is defiant and difficult to subdue or suppress, so they resorted to agitation and attempts to stir chaos, relying on Mossad agents and American agents who move in the streets exploiting objections and peaceful protests over living conditions. Yet these people kill security personnel, kill civilians as well, create chaos, and then Netanyahu and Trump intervene to support these groups on the basis of sabotaging the Islamic Republic of Iran from within, to overthrow the system and change the equation of a resisting Iran into another form under their control, so they can exploit Iran’s resources, capabilities, and potentials.

They did not succeed, despite all the threats launched by Trump and the calls to support protesters who kill and who were incited to enter government centers and carry out acts of vandalism. Despite all this, it became clear that the great Iranian people came out in the millions and spoke their word. It was said that the Tehran demonstration alone reached three million men, women, youth, and children. Other demonstrations were also in the millions, especially in major Iranian cities, and everywhere protests took place.

These demonstrations made clear the will of the people and their demands. If you say that the Iranian people have demands, then this is the Iranian people. Can millions be compared to dozens of agents, and to those who kill people, destroy public property, destroy mosques, destroy bank centers and insurance companies, and also destroy properties in the streets that belong to the people? There is no comparison.

But America does not want a free system, nor does it want a people who govern themselves. Rather, it wants to dominate peoples, their choices, their resources, and their capabilities, and it supports the Israeli occupation so that it may expand in the region. Praise be to God, this Iranian people, with wise, great, inspiring, divinely guided leadership—God willing—under the leadership of Imam Khamenei, may his shadow endure, with the management of the President of the Republic and the entire responsible team, with the follow-up of the security forces and the Revolutionary Guards, and with the active participation of the Iranian people in confronting this with word, stance, and presence in the streets, caused America to fail in achieving its goal of overthrowing the system.

We stand with Iran, and we consider Iran to be steadfast and strong. We stand with Iran the people, Iran the leadership, and Iran the revolution. God willing, Iran will remain a fortress of jihad, resistance, independence, and freedom, and a source of inspiration for the oppressed of the world. They will not be able to defeat the millions who have rallied around their leadership and their choices.

Fourth: Venezuela.

What occurred there was the crime of the era: the kidnapping of the President of the Republic from within his own country, and this is what America did. What was the pretext? They did not announce any justification. Rather, they want Venezuela’s oil, they want Venezuela’s resources, and they want to annex all of Venezuela’s capabilities to America. There is a greedy mindset that seeks to exploit every opportunity and benefit from all capacities and resources. Not everything can be achieved by force, and not everyone who possesses power has the right to violate international law, the rights of states, and the rights of peoples.

It has become clear that Trump is not content with Venezuela alone. He also wants Greenland, Canada, and Cuba, and he seeks control over the capacities of the European Union as well, in addition to ongoing interventions in our region in West Asia, particularly in Syria and the region at large, and support for the Israeli entity. All these moves are driven by a desire for domination. In any case, Europeans will one day see that while they applaud America, they hold no value in its eyes, and their countries will become weak and subservient. Whoever today goes along with America in its crimes, in support of the Israeli entity and elsewhere in the world, will later pay the price. This oppressor will spare no one from its injustice, and this will lead to horrific actions in Europe and beyond.

We call for a global movement, at the level of states and at the level of peoples, to tell America: Stop. Let people everywhere raise their voices to put an end to this unjustified American arrogance, rooted only in domination, arrogance, and tyranny. Where are the rights of peoples? Peoples are supposed to have rights, protected and managed by their own societies.

Fifth: the internal political situation. I will address several points.

First point: With the end of the Battle of Uli al-Ba’s on November 27, 2024, we entered a new phase of the conflict and a new era in Lebanon. Its features began to take shape with the election of a President of the Republic, the formation of a government, and other matters associated with the new era. We participated responsibly in all steps of state-building, from electing the president to granting confidence to the government, and to other steps that were achieved, limited as they were, during this period.

However, stability has not been achieved in Lebanon due to American–Israeli aggression, the continued occupation, the poisoning of the atmosphere by certain forces that serve Israel and America rather than their own country and obstruct Lebanon’s recovery, the media of lies and disinformation, and the lack of respect for religious authorities, along with the hurling of insults and accusations without accountability.

This has led to a phase of instability. Instability affects everything. The country’s movement will remain weak regardless of any achievements, and without security stability there can be no comfortable political stability nor economic stability. All of this is linked to the security climate imposed by Israel and America.

In the new phase after Uli al-Ba’s, the Lebanese state has become responsible for protecting Lebanon and its people, ending decades of abandoning this responsibility and leaving it to the resistance. This was by the will of all of us. The state said, “We are ready,” and the resistance also said, “We are ready.” When the state steps forward to assume this role, conditions naturally change, and the state becomes able to confront challenges.

One of the requirements of this new phase is the implementation of the agreement. Lebanon implemented everything required of it, and the resistance assisted to the maximum extent, to the point that not a single violation occurred throughout an entire year and three months. Israel, however, did not comply. For those who do not know, implementation of the agreement means implementing it in full, not in stages.

Whoever claims that the agreement consists of a first phase followed by a second phase is mistaken. There are no phases. There is an agreement that is either implemented or not implemented. The Lebanese state implemented it; Israel implemented none of it. There is no so-called second phase.

If it is said that there is a second phase called Resolution 1701, that is another matter. Resolution 1701 does not involve Israel in relation to us. The agreement has two parties: Lebanon and the Israeli entity, the Israeli enemy. Resolution 1701, however, is a purely Lebanese matter. The exclusivity of weapons is a purely Lebanese matter. The national security strategy is a purely Lebanese matter. All of this is tied to internal Lebanese dialogue and agreement among political forces until the desired outcome is reached. This is the first point.

Second point: The obstruction of state-building is due to three factors.

First, American–Israeli aggression.

Second, the cartel of financial and political corruption.

Third, the group aligned with American tutelage.

Let us briefly address the group aligned with American tutelage. Their positions encourage Israeli aggression. They promote discord between the army and the resistance, between the army and the people, and among the various components within the Lebanese state. They hope that the Israeli enemy will grant them influence and presence in the political arena.

The behavior of some ministers in implementing American sanctions is also part of this alignment with American–Israeli tutelage. The absence of an effective foreign minister has paralyzed diplomacy that should defend Lebanon. We have a real problem: we effectively do not have a foreign minister. The current minister, Rajji, is not known whom he serves. Is he Lebanon’s foreign minister, or a minister for somewhere else?

Minister Rajji acts contrary to the policies of the government and the new era, aligning himself with the Israeli position by granting Israel the right, in the event that weapons remain, to attack Lebanon. Who behaves in this so-called national manner? He and his group manipulate civil peace by inciting sedition, calling on the Lebanese army to decisively confront the people, and seeking to drag Lebanon into civil war. This behavior is against the era, against the government, against the Lebanese people, and against the resistance. No one should think this is only against the resistance, because it runs counter to Lebanon’s national interest.

Those who call for rejecting reconstruction, who put obstacles in the way, and who incite foreign states not to provide anything unless American–Israeli objectives are achieved, also belong to the camp of American–Israeli tutelage. They are followers who call for targeting social and financial institutions, the Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association, every social movement, and even confronting funds that come as donations. For whose benefit do they work? Do they work for the benefit of Lebanon?

The people in the South, in the southern suburbs, in the Bekaa, and in various regions of Lebanon are part of the Lebanese citizenry. They have rights just as you have rights. You should stand with them and alongside them, not confront them.

In any case, the Lebanese government bears responsibility for addressing this dysfunction, embodied by a foreign minister who does not act in accordance with the government’s orientation, either by replacing him, silencing him, or obliging him to adhere to the Lebanese position. Measures must be taken, because it is unacceptable for him to continue making statements in a divergent manner. This is one of the reasons for the weakness of the government’s performance, because there is no foreign minister who expresses Lebanon’s national demands.

The third matter is that Lebanon is facing aggression, corruption, and dependency, all of which work against the presidential term, against state-building, against the army, against the people, and against the resistance. Do not think that anything that undermines Lebanon’s stability is directed only against the resistance, or only against one core component. Yes, the resistance is more harmed, and this component is more harmed, but all of Lebanon will be affected. At a certain place, at a certain time, and under certain conditions, if everything collapses together, not one stone will remain upon another.

No one should think they will be safe if the resistance is not safe, if the social environment is not safe, if this people is not safe, and if we are not all united. Neither Israel nor America will allow matters to stabilize.

What does building the state require?

I will give a simple example. If someone wants to build a building, what do they do? They lay the foundations first, then rise to the upper floors. No one builds the upper floors and then lays the foundations. That is impossible. Therefore, the foundations must be built first, and then one moves to the upper floors. Sovereignty and liberation are the foundations and pillars, and they are the base from which we must begin first.

Second, if some consider the restriction of weapons a necessity, that belongs to the upper floors, after we consolidate the pillars of sovereignty, and then move upward. It is not only us who say that sovereignty is the first pillar. I reviewed the ministerial statement again to see what we, as participants at the heart of the government, had said and on what basis we agreed.

I return to emphasize the very first line of the ministerial statement, where the prime minister says:
“We appear before you as a united government committed to defending Lebanon’s sovereignty, the unity of its territory, and its people.”

The first item, the first line, the first words speak of unity and of defending Lebanon’s sovereignty and the unity of its land and people. These are the fundamental pillars, and this is correct.

In the fourth paragraph it says:
“The state we want is one that fully assumes responsibility for the security of the country and the defense of its borders and frontiers, a state that deters the aggressor, protects its citizens, and fortifies independence.”

This is the ministerial statement. Tell us: what of this statement has been implemented? How does the government act in implementing this statement? And why does it move toward issues that have no connection to the foundations, no connection to the initial construction, and no connection to the pillars?

In the inaugural address, His Excellency the President says in the oath speech:

“My pledge is to call for a discussion of an integrated defense policy, as part of a national security strategy, at the diplomatic, economic, and military levels, in a way that enables the Lebanese state”—and I repeat, the Lebanese state—“to remove the Israeli occupation and repel its aggression from all Lebanese territories.”

We always say: you hold to the oath speech and to the program of the Lebanese government. Fine. These matters are present in the oath speech and in the program and statement of the Lebanese government. So where is the implementation?

The Lebanese state fulfilled what was required of it in the agreement south of the Litani River, and began to act correctly, because it wanted to deploy the army, restore control, and serve as an alternative to Israel in the areas it had occupied, on the basis that the aggression was supposed to stop. What was the result from the other side?

Zero implementation by the Israeli entity, and zero prevention of violations by the mechanism. The mechanism has become applied only to us. It monitors what Israel demands and says, conveys it to the Lebanese army or to UNIFIL, and UNIFIL has begun to inspect us, on the basis of searching for any place where weapons might exist or the like. Meanwhile, Israel has not been asked to do anything even once, does not commit to anything at all, and no discussions are raised with it.

The discussions of the mechanism revolve around where we stand in confronting the resistance and in withdrawing weapons. There is no talk whatsoever about the Israeli entity or about Israeli withdrawal.

Zero national sovereignty. Let us speak frankly: where is national sovereignty? If some boast of national sovereignty, where was it for thirteen or fourteen months? There is no national sovereignty, because with the continuation of air, land, and sea aggression, the aggression against the Lebanese army, against United Nations forces, and against the people, the killing of civilians, the destruction of homes, the bombings, and incursions into Lebanese territory, where is sovereignty in all of this?

Who stops Israel? What does Israel do? Let us be clear. On the issue of national sovereignty, Lebanon today is without national sovereignty. An effective program must be put in place to achieve this sovereignty, and this is the responsibility of the state, the responsibility of the government, and the responsibility of those concerned.

Fourth, we come to the second issue, which we said belongs to the upper floors: the issue of restricting weapons. People, why are we deceiving one another? Today, if you ask anyone in Lebanon about restricting weapons, what will they tell you? They will tell you: this is an American–Israeli demand. So if you lecture us by saying that restricting weapons is a purely Lebanese matter and that, as Lebanese, we want to restrict weapons, spare us this talk.

If you want to restrict weapons as Lebanese, there is no problem. That belongs to the upper floors. First achieve sovereignty, then come and take the weapons restriction you want. But today, restricting weapons is an American–Israeli demand aimed at encircling the resistance and targeting it. It is not a Lebanese problem; it is an Israeli problem.

Israel cannot, as long as the resistance and its weapons exist, seize land and build settlements. It may be able to occupy, but it cannot sustain that occupation. If there were no resistance, no people, no army, and no force confronting the Israeli occupation, Israel would build settlements and expand.

They tell us: restricting weapons will force Israel out. This is an Israeli pretext. Fine, let us assume we restrict weapons. Then what? With whom do you negotiate? Do you think we are naïve? Do you think we do not understand? For Israel, the issue of restricting weapons will never end, because it will always say: there are still weapons here, in that area, in this location.

When envoys come to us, whether from foreign or Arab states or from within the authorities, what do they say? They say: help us, give something, perhaps we can extract something from the Israeli entity. We tell them: everything that has been given so far, in the agreement and its implementation, and everything that has been given south of the Litani River, does not count as a concession.

Let us assume we go along with you and decide to give something. What does Israel give in return? They say: no, we do what we see fit and give what we want to give, and then we see whether Israel is satisfied or not. And it will not be satisfied. Since the beginning of the agreement, they have been saying: give, be patient, offer concessions, and we will see what Israel does. And no one commits to anything.

This means that any further concessions are useless, and any further retreat is nothing but more weakening. Why should we give when we receive nothing in return? Lebanon does not regain sovereignty, nor does it obtain anything in exchange.

The weapons in our hands, and we say this clearly, are for defending ourselves, our resistance, our people, and our homeland. Some say: you are not defending the homeland. Fine, where are we as a people? We are the people of this homeland.

Whoever does not want to defend the homeland may do as they wish and refrain from defending. As for us, we will defend ourselves, our people, and our homeland, as far as we are concerned. We do not compel anyone, nor do we force anyone to believe us. But do not stand in our way, and do not try to become tools in the hands of the Israeli entity. They say: we do not want you to defend the homeland, we do not want you, you are wrong. When we defend ourselves, we are defending the homeland. If you do not like to give it that title, then do not. But I want to ask you a question: who guarantees that, if we do not have weapons in our hands and do not defend ourselves, Israel will not violate every geographic inch of Lebanon?

I will give you three examples that have already happened:

The Israeli moves freely, coming and going. Notice where they took these people from: from areas where they can land helicopters, use boats, or enter through collaborators working for them. Foreign passports are always available to them in all countries.

Today, even if security forces know that certain individuals are from a particular country but are actually Israelis from the Mossad carrying a second nationality, and their photos and names are known, no one hands them over, not Interpol nor anyone else, because every state protects them.

You know that if weapons are handed over, this kind of abduction will occur everywhere, and killings will continue. In this way, you place the noose around your own necks and the necks of those who march with you and align with you. To strip ourselves of weapons so that they kill us and kill our people, and for you to become agents of the Israeli and the American, roaming Lebanon and serving Israel’s interests, is something that only someone with a noose already around their neck would think of.

We are a resistance and we will remain a resistance. Lebanon cannot exist without resistance. Lebanon was liberated because of the resistance, and Lebanon presented the finest model of liberation without a price, a liberation that forced Israel out without an agreement. Can we ignore what the resistance has done over forty-two years? Who liberated the land other than the resistance?

The resistance in all its forms: Hezbollah, the Amal Movement, Lebanese parties, all factions, resistance forces, and the people. All are partners. When I speak of the resistance, I speak of everyone, not Hezbollah alone, because all are honorable, all are resistance, and they are the ones who liberated the land.

They say: what has the resistance done, and what is it doing now? Is this resistance responsible for protecting the homeland?

The army is responsible for protecting the homeland, the government is responsible for protecting the homeland, and the state is responsible for protecting the homeland. All are responsible for protecting the homeland. Tell me now: what are you doing to protect the homeland?

They say: because of you, Israel came. No. Because of Israel, we became a resistance. Correct your thinking, think carefully, and put things in their proper place. Who protects this country? Who protects this community? Who protects the fighters? Who protects the honorable families of this country if the resistance is without weapons? What is Israel’s business here? They are occupiers in one place. Why do they enter our country? Why do they want to occupy our country as well? We will not accept this. Our understanding of the facts must be clear.

Today, did the Lebanese army not ask to supervise the houses they intended to demolish in Mashghara and Sahmar in the western Bekaa? Israel refused. Israel wants to demolish; it does not want to search for weapons. It wants to do whatever it wants to do.

Have they not killed in Nabatieh, Tyre, Naqoura, Bint Jbeil, even in Nabi Sheet and Hermel? There is no place where they do not kill, no place they do not demolish, no place they do not violate. So how can you accept, or demand, that we give up our weapons? Even if we remain silent, Israel will not remain silent.

Israel is backed by America, tyranny prevails, and they say: this is an opportunity to swallow Lebanon. Syria is before your eyes. What is happening there? Publicly, the foreign minister and Netanyahu say that Mount Hermon is Israeli. This is new. They speak of the Golan as if that issue is finished, and now they will not relinquish Mount Hermon. They achieve what they want. Why? Because there is no one confronting them and no one telling them no. You say: perhaps something will happen in the future. Yes, the future comes when resistance exists, when there is national unity, when we support one another, and when we achieve sovereignty first.

Israel cannot remain in the South, nor at the occupied points, nor anywhere else. This resistance is the reason. Without it, Israel would have already completed the establishment of settlements in the South long ago. Today, Israel wants to legalize the buffer zone, but it cannot, because with weapons present it cannot remain an occupier nor achieve stability.

Do not tell us: do not defend yourselves.

We are a people who do not surrender, and we will not place the future of our children and our homeland in their hands or the hands of their masters. Be clear: aggression against people and stones cannot continue, and our defense is legitimate at any time. No one has the right to ask us one day: why are you defending yourselves? The right to self-defense is legitimate and guaranteed to us at all times.

It is unacceptable for the pace of attacks to continue. The state must demand that the sponsoring states stop them. Everything has limits. Things cannot continue this way indefinitely.

Fifth: What is happening now in the South and across all of Lebanon is an Israeli aggression aimed at swallowing the land and ending the existence of the resistance. The Israeli–American aggression has objectives with no ceiling and no limits. We wish that you would ask the Quintet to pressure Israel instead of pressuring Lebanon. Have you demanded that Israel stop its aggression? Go and help Lebanon if you truly want to help. Come, Lebanese people, let us unite. Through our unity we can stop the aggression. Be assured that when we are one people on external issues, in confronting the Israeli enemy, and when we truly decide to live together and protect one another, the Israeli enemy cannot achieve what it wants.

It is unacceptable for some among us to turn into tools for killing others so that they themselves may live. This will not happen in Lebanon. This resistance is among the most honorable resistances in the world, and among the most rational, because it acted with wisdom. It succeeded in building a network of relations with the Lebanese state, with the people, and with various forces. It was able to implement an agreement and transfer responsibility to the Lebanese state in a calm and purposeful manner, without even a slap.

It also facilitated the deployment of the Lebanese army. What do we call this? A rational resistance, a wise resistance. Reason is not to give Israel something. Reason is not to offer concessions without a price. Reason is to know how to protect our country, preserve our strength, and act in a way that leads us to unity and cooperation. Praise be to God, there are responsible figures in the state and in various political forces who act with wisdom and reason. This resistance in Lebanon is rational, wise, courageous, self-sacrificing, and patriotic.

We always say: let them stop the aggression, let Israel withdraw, release the prisoners and detainees, and then reconstruction can begin. We are ready to discuss the defensive strategy with the highest level of positivity, in order to implement the inaugural address, to carry out what is stated in the ministerial statement, and to harmonize with the government in this regard.

Sixth and finally: We are part of a generous and giving people. These are people whose sons were killed, who offered their homes and livelihoods, who endured displacement and forced migration, and who still continue to give. From this people emerged the Master of the Martyrs of the Ummah, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, may God be pleased with him, whose value equals the entire world and all that is in it. He is a symbol of the highest level of sacrifice and giving. For what purpose? For dignity, for morale, for presence, for steadfastness. Alongside him is Sayyid al-Hashem and all those who were martyred in the path of God Almighty.

This people offered prisoners who suffer in jails, and wounded who rise above their pain and wounds and remain steadfast in the field. Frankly, our heads are held high because we are part of this people.

O proud and steadfast Lebanese resistance people, it is an honor for us to be part of this people and part of this resistance that will always keep its head held high, even if the disbelievers hate it, even if the hypocrites hate it. Be certain: we are ready to offer more sacrifices, and we will remain at the highest levels of dignity, a people that gives martyrs, dies, and moves on to the mercy of God Almighty.

Among them is Sayyid Jaafar Qassir, the father of five martyrs, the father of Ahmad Qassir, the pioneer of martyrdom operations, who always gave and offered, and showed readiness for more. This is a people that cannot be defeated. We do not fear death or threats. We are ready for the utmost and beyond for the land that will be liberated, and we will not be defeated. Israel and its allies will not achieve what they want, and the days will prove this.

I say to you: despite all this pressure and all these difficulties, we will continue working to build the state. Today we are preparing for the parliamentary elections.

We have formed the central committee, appointed a central official, and established an organized structure. For three months now, we have been working on the parliamentary elections, and we call for them to be held on time in accordance with the current law.

We also have a specialized committee following up on the law for the return of depositors’ funds, so that corrupt financial cartels do not control matters at every level. I call on the Lebanese government to resolve the issue of the salary scale and wages, to decide it in stages so that people can breathe and so that matters can move onto the right track.

Blessed be the anniversary of the Prophet’s mission for all Muslims and for all the oppressed in the world. Congratulations to the winners who memorized parts of the Qur’an until they completed its memorization, and God willing, to even greater success.
