According to these officers, Israel had approved preparations to target Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Muhammad Deif, followed by a large-scale offensive against the Gaza Strip. The plan also included operations in the West Bank. The objective of these assassinations was to destabilize the leadership structure of Hamas, create internal confusion, and allow the IOF to shape the next stage of the conflict on its own terms.

Despite these preparations, the plan was ultimately not carried out.

Israeli media and officials are now presenting information of this kind as part of a narrative aimed at deflecting blame and reshaping public opinion.

We believe such information is released strategically to justify the ongoing war and to portray the Israeli leadership as already aware of the threat but prevented from acting in time.

According to reports, the fuel on board was confiscated under a court order and is currently being offloaded and handed over to the Bushehr Oil Refining and Distribution Company.
