🇵🇸 | Anas Al-Sharif, who tirelessly reported day and night under dire conditions of hunger and danger, symbolized hope for journalists worldwide. Despite receiving hundreds of death threats, he continued his work until his martyrdom today. A father to a baby daughter and a son, most of his close associates have also been martyred.

The entire Al Jazeera crew in Gaza City is assassinated now. The martyrs include correspondent Anas Al-Sharif, correspondent Mohammed Quraiqe, cameramen Ibrahim Zaher and Moamen Alewa, and crew driver Mohammed Nofal.

🥀 | Reporting from Gaza has come to a halt with the loss of Anas Al-Sharif, who was everywhere—inside tents, hearing the cries of babies. He was the one who first reported any new trouble befallen on Gazans. His absence leaves a huge void in frontline coverage.

🇵🇸 | The will of Martyr Anas Al-Sharif: My Final Message:

If these words reach you, know that Israel has succeeded in killing me and silencing my voice.

First, peace be upon you, along with Allah’s mercy and blessings.

Allah knows that I gave every ounce of effort and strength I possessed to support and be a voice for my people from the moment I opened my eyes in the alleys and quarters of Jabalia refugee camp. My deepest hope was that Allah would grant me life long enough to return with my family and loved ones to our original town of occupied Ashkelon, “Al-Majdal.” But Allah’s will prevailed and His judgment was carried out.

I have lived through pain in all its forms, tasted suffering and loss again and again. Yet, never for a day did I hesitate to speak the truth as it is without falsification or distortion, hoping Allah would be witness to those who remained silent, those who accepted our killing, those who suffocated our breath, whose hearts remained unmoved by the remains of our children and women, and who failed to stop the massacre our people have endured for over a year and a half.

I entrust to you Palestine, jewel of the Muslim crown and the heartbeat of every free person in the world.

I entrust to you its people and its oppressed children, robbed of the chance to dream, to live in safety and peace. Their pure bodies crushed beneath thousands of tons of Israeli bombs and missiles, torn apart and scattered upon walls.

I entrust to you not to let chains silence you, nor borders restrain you, but to be bridges toward the liberation of our lands and people until the sun of dignity and freedom rises over our usurped homeland.

I entrust to you the welfare of my family.

I entrust to you the apple of my eye, my beloved daughter Sham whom time did not allow me to see grow as I once dreamed.

I entrust to you my dear son Salah whom I wished to be my helper and companion on this path, to grow strong and carry the burden from me, completing the mission.

I entrust to you my beloved mother through whose blessed prayers I reached what I achieved. Her prayers were my fortress, her light my path. May Allah strengthen her heart and reward her with the best on my behalf.

I also entrust to you my life partner, my beloved wife Um Salah Bayan, whom war separated from me for long days and months yet she remained true to our covenant, steadfast like an olive tree trunk that does not bend, patient and trusting in Allah, carrying this trust in my absence with all strength and faith.

I entrust you to stand by them and be their support after Allah Almighty.

If I die, I die steadfast in principle. I call Allah to witness that I am content with His decree, believing in meeting Him and certain that what Allah has prepared is better and eternal.

O Allah, accept me among the martyrs. Forgive my past and future sins and make my blood a light that illuminates the path of freedom for my people and family.

Forgive me if I have fallen short and pray for me mercy for I have held fast to the covenant and have neither changed nor wavered.

Do not forget Gaza

And do not forget me in your righteous prayers for forgiveness and acceptance.

Anas Jamal Al-Sharif

🥀 | “We are not leaving. We are steadfast here.”

This is from a previous video of journalist Martyr Anas Al-Sharif with his daughter, in which he affirms his determination to remain in Gaza and his lack of intention to travel abroad, despite having been given chances to do so.

IOF and their allied forces may try to blame or associate him with resistance units, but it is clear they feared him his every report and word was a challenge to them.

| The said shared account is a fake portal run either by a Zionist psyop or by subcontinental imposters on Twitter. Imam Khomeini’s family has no member with this name. There is one granddaughter of Imam Khomeini named Zahra Eshraghi, known for her reformist leanings and a few of her statements in the past, which were exploited by enemies for propaganda purposes. However, she has been inactive for years and has no negative role in any current circle.

A few of Imam Khomeini’s reformist descendants have, in recent years, nearly abandoned those tendencies, aligning themselves with the leadership and working in favor of revolutionary values.

What the media fails to highlight is the presence of the noble daughter of Imam Khomeini, Dr. Zahra Mustafavi; the only surviving child of the Imam at 85 years old. She remains one of the most revolutionary women in Iran, leading various organizations in support of the Palestinian cause and the resistance, while also serving as a university professor.

🗞️ | Khalil Nasrallah:

The Al Jazeera team in northern Gaza, led by Anas Al-Sharif, was killed in broad daylight.

No one doubts that blocking the images is one objective, but the other is to kill the will of the Palestinians. The occupation army’s hasty justification for this deliberate killing, claiming Anas belongs to Hamas, is an attempt to avoid confronting the harsh reality israel faces in the West because of the massacres that Anas and others were exposing to the world.

israeli arrogance and the trivialization of killing stem from impunity, backed by American, Western, and Arab support, unfortunately.

🟨 | Statement issued by Hezbollah's Media Relations regarding the crime of assassinating journalists in Gaza:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Hezbollah's Media Relations condemns the brutal and heinous crime committed by the Zionist enemy against journalists in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the martyrdom of six journalists (five martyrs from Al Jazeera channel and one martyr from Sahat platform), following direct and deliberate bombing that targeted their tent in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. We consider this a complete war crime that reveals the brutality, criminality, and moral and humanitarian bankruptcy of this entity.

This systematic assassination of journalists, after the Israeli enemy made the decision to occupy the entire Gaza Strip, aims to distance the media from its role in exposing what the Zionist entity is doing and will do in terms of crimes, massacres, genocide, and starvation of people in preparation for imposing forced displacement upon the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The Media Relations extends its deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, to the management and staff of Al Jazeera channel, and to all free media personnel and journalists in Palestine, the Arab world, and the Islamic world, who continue to believe in the great role of media that defends the oppressed against the world's tyrants, and insists on confronting dangers and challenges to document the crimes of this savage entity. We call upon all media, rights-based, humanitarian institutions and international organizations to condemn this continuous Zionist criminality against journalists and media institutions and to take necessary measures to prosecute it before competent international courts.
