The army’s sacred national mission is to safeguard the homeland, maintain internal stability, and, alongside the resistance, liberate occupied territory and secure the return of prisoners. This governmental decision, however, casts doubt on that role, dragging the military into internal strife that risks dismantling the very state it is meant to protect.

This decision is not only dangerous; it is suspicious. It appears designed to weaken the army and sow division, eroding the core of national unity. Those behind it will be judged by history, which never forgets those who abandon their nation’s cause—but always remembers the honorable who sacrificed for their land and people.

We call on the Lebanese government to immediately retract this decision in the interest of national preservation.

We call upon all wise and patriotic forces to intervene swiftly, to prevent the fallout of this explosive and misguided policy, to consider it null and void, and to preserve the foundations of the state and its institutions. We further warn against the threat of foreign military interference in Lebanon’s internal affairs.

Finally, we reaffirm that it is the right and duty of the Lebanese people, army, and resistance to stand united in defense of the nation. The resistance’s weapons are not a threat they are Lebanon’s guarantee and its only path to survival. Without them, Lebanon loses its shield, its voice, and its worth.
