This retreat exposes their weakness despite global support and long-term isolation attempts against Gaza.

These miscalculations are not only made by enemies but also sometimes by allies. For instance, in the initial stages of the confrontation, it was widely expected, even among friendly analysts, that Iran would strike only Israeli targets in retaliation. But when the U.S. became directly involved in aggression against Iran, both Israel and the U.S. were simultaneously targeted in two massive operations on June 23: TP-3 and Basharat al-Fath. This double-blow shattered the assumption that Iran would limit its response.

One of the core reasons behind Washington’s repeated miscalculations is its flawed reliance on materialist intelligence models, disconnected from ideological and spiritual realities. The U.S. views power through military hardware, economic data, and psychological operations, while ignoring the faith-driven resolve that defines Iran’s leadership, military, and society. Their institutions are flooded with think tanks, media consultants, and analysts who measure influence in dollars and firepower, but they fail to grasp what it means when a nation is rooted in a belief system where martyrdom is victory. They cannot understand a system that raises commanders not just as soldiers, but as servants of divine mission. This disconnect results in strategy after strategy collapsing in the face of Iran’s unpredictable yet principled responses.

Washington’s miscalculation escalated to the point where they played their final card, the open threat of regime change and the assassination of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic. This reckless gamble backfired badly, causing serious consequences for U.S. credibility and strategic position.

Imam Khamenei has long warned of these exact miscalculations. On October 27, 2024, he stated:

“The Zionists are making a miscalculation with respect to Iran. They don’t know Iran. They still haven’t been able to correctly understand the power, initiative, and determination of the Iranian people. We need to make them understand these things.”

On January 12, 2023, he pointed out how Western media and governments misread the anti-hijab protests, believing Iran would crumble. But they were wrong again.

Earlier, on February 7, 2021, he reminded that:

“The U.S. miscalculated in understanding the Iranian nation during the 1979 Revolution and failed. Again, in 2009, the Democratic president backed the sedition and failed. Trump failed in his ‘maximum pressure’ campaign. They are still miscalculating.”

The pattern is long and consistent. And yet today, American and Israeli leaders continue to believe that they can weaken Iran by reaching into its territory, launching threats, or carrying out limited strikes. They still do not understand that Iran is not a nation defined by material calculations alone. They are trying to understand an ideological and spiritual force through purely physical, military, and media frameworks.

But this is not a war of equals. This is a war between materialism and spirituality, and such wars have only one outcome for the side that resists: either victory or martyrdom. That has always been the final statement of the Resistance Front.
