✅ | Where are China and Russia?

China and Russia, while key global players and strategic allies of Iran, are not central actors in the present confrontation. This battle is Iran’s own not the result of a sudden crisis, but the culmination of decades of preparation and ideological clarity rooted in the Islamic Revolution. Iran is not appealing for direct military assistance, nor is it fighting a declared war in the conventional sense. Rather, it is conducting a deliberate and calculated campaign of response and deterrence, in line with long-established goals. Its relationships with China and Russia are built on long-term strategic coordination, encompassing political, economic, and security domains, but Iran’s doctrine has always emphasized strategic autonomy. These partners may play indirect or supportive roles, yet the primary lead of this battle rests on Iran itself.

What’s happening is not a conventional or declared war, it is a revenge and response operation, rooted in the very goals of the Islamic Revolution since its inception.

Iran has forged long-term strategic ties with Russia and China, and while those partnerships shape global power dynamics, this battle is not theirs to fight. Their roles political, economic, technological, and at times covertly military are ongoing, but Iran’s doctrine of strategic independence remains intact. Official positions or interventions from China and Russia will emerge only if broader thresholds are crossed.

On 22 December 2024, Imam Khamenei stated unequivocally that the Islamic Republic does not rely on any proxy forces. Rather, groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Yemeni resistance are fighting because of their own faith and belief, it is their conviction, not Iranian direction, that brings them to the field. He emphasized that if the Islamic Republic ever decides to take direct military action, it will not require the use of any proxy force.

Have entities like Hamas, Hezbollah, or other organized resistance fronts ever formally called on Iran to intervene militarily to protect them? The answer is no. These are nations and movements of resistance, not vassals in need of rescue. They conduct their battles independently with their own command structures, combat doctrines, and strategic calculations while maintaining close ideological and logistical ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran. They do not seek to shift the burden of their struggle onto Iran, nor does Iran consider them mere extensions of its armed forces. The relationship is not one of patronage and dependency, but of principled alliance and shared revolutionary consciousness.

In the meantime, it can be said that the role of Russia and China is indeed not particularly commendable, but it is too early to accuse them of betrayal or call them backstabbers. Iranian officials have repeatedly emphasized that “nothing” can harm our alliance, which suggests that there are indeed questions being raised about Russia and China’s current passive, wait-and-watch stance.

In sum, this is not a war imposed on Iran. It is a confrontation for which the Islamic Republic has long prepared, politically, militarily, and spiritually. It is not about begging allies for intervention; it is about fulfilling a divine and historical responsibility. The resistance front is not collapsing, it is rising, and Iran stands at its center not as a patron, but as its axis and origin.

🇱🇧 Breaking — The following statement was issued by the Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, Shaykh Ali Al-Khatib (H) of Lebanon:

“We were not surprised by the recent statements and positions of American President Donald Trump concerning the Zionist regime’s aggressive war against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Such conduct reduces the President of the United States to the status of a bandit or outlaw rather than a head of state of the world’s most powerful nation.”

Sheikh Al-Khatib strongly condemned and denounced this unprecedented display of American arrogance, calling upon the Arab and Islamic world, the global community, world leaders, and international institutions to stand against this behavior. He warned that the consequences will not be confined to the Islamic Republic and its Supreme Leader, but will extend to all nations and leaders, constituting a grave assault on moral and human principles. Such reckless rhetoric, he noted, signals the onset of further international crises, as it reflects a mindset that violates what remains of the world’s ethical foundations.

Sheikh Al-Khatib concluded: “We appeal to both Islamic and Christian spiritual authorities worldwide to confront these positions, in defense of their roles and responsibilities in combating violence, extremism, and terrorism.”
