Recently, Iranian security forces discovered workshops manufacturing drones and bombs in Alborz and Isfahan provinces. These findings confirm ongoing attempts to establish covert operational bases within the country.

Journalistic sources report that ordinary Iranian citizens are actively assisting security forces by identifying and searching suspicious vehicles linked to Israeli Mossad agents. For example, a Mossad operative was apprehended by civilians in Khorramabad, Lorestan province. Additionally, Iranian intelligence arrested another Mossad agent working at a sensitive facility in Ilam province, in western Iran. In response to these threats, Iran’s security apparatus has prohibited officials and their security teams from using devices connected to public communication or telecom networks, a precaution aimed at preventing intelligence leaks.

FARAJA has released footage showing the capture of several Mossad operatives in Alborz and Isfahan. One agent was arrested while assembling and testing explosives, and another drone and explosives production workshop was uncovered in Qaleh Shur, Isfahan. Meanwhile, Iranian air defenses successfully shot down an Israeli drone near the Natanz nuclear site, as confirmed by the deputy governor of Isfahan, using the IRGC’s Khordad Aerospace System.

This comprehensive crackdown illustrates the ongoing pressure Iran’s security forces are placing on infiltration efforts. It also demonstrates the increasing involvement of the Iranian public in counterintelligence efforts. 🇮🇷 Attention — Was Leader and IRGC Unaware of Infiltrations?

For many, even the majority, after witnessing internal attacks, a question arises: does the IRGC have the means or capability? One thing is certain—we have mentioned their capabilities in many cases. However, many things cannot be traced due to the high level of cunning involved in covert operations. From multiple statements by Imam Khamenei and the ongoing IRGC counter-intelligence efforts, it is clear that Iranian leadership was well aware of the infiltration threats and covert operations targeting the country. However, the nature and sophistication of these operations evolved significantly over time.

Imam Khamenei repeatedly warned of both internal and external threats. On 7 February 2025, he said:

“Americans sit and talk about redrawing the world map on paper. It is only on paper, not reality. They threaten us, and we will threaten them back. If they attack our nation’s security, we will attack theirs. This is our duty, grounded in the Quran and Islamic teachings.”

On 12 March 2025, he warned that if American agents tried to dismantle Iran’s security, the response would be fierce and immediate. Earlier, on 24 September 2024, he alerted about covert operations disguised under “velvet” flags — false fronts meant to destabilize Iran from within.

Following these warnings, the IRGC actively dismantled a major smuggling route aimed at facilitating unrest in January 2025 (dismantled a smuggling route). In September 2024, a network of 12 Zionist agents living undercover in dormitories was dismantled (dismantled a dormitory cell). Most recently, in June 2025, IRGC successfully foiled a large ISIS-Mossad network (foiled ISIS-Mossad network).

This continuous disruption shows that while IRGC and the leadership were vigilant, the methods of covert operations were evolving. The initial phase of infiltrations involving smuggling routes and sleeper cells was foiled with significant success. But over the last 6 to 8 months, a more cunning and less detectable form of covert operations emerged, likely involving embassies, foreign intelligence operatives, and high-profile collaborators.

This newer wave is more sophisticated, less noisy, and harder to track, with a higher neutralization difficulty rate. It operates under deeper cover, making detection and counteraction more complex. The evidence suggests many of these covert activities involve well-placed agents within diplomatic missions and influential circles, complicating Iran’s security landscape.

Despite the challenges, the IRGC’s track record of dismantling networks demonstrates a high level of operational efficiency and continuous commitment. The leadership’s repeated public warnings emphasize their deep understanding of these threats and readiness to respond decisively. It is clear the IRGC will manage these challenges, as many operations are currently ongoing. It is expected that severe punishments will be announced and swift judicial responses will follow, as stated by the Iranian Chief Justice.
