❎ The term “militia” typically refers to non-professional fighters organized for military purposes, often operating outside regular state control.
In the West Asian context, particularly concerning the Axis of Resistance—which includes groups like Hezbollah in Lebanon, various factions in Iraq, the Houthis in Yemen, and others—labeling these entities as mere “militias” oversimplifies their roles and carries negative connotations.
These resistance movements are comprehensive organizations deeply rooted in Islamic values and community welfare, encompassing a wide range of societal functions:
• Educational Initiatives: Establishing schools and programs to disseminate knowledge and promote cultural and religious awareness.
• Social Welfare Programs: Providing support for women, children, and marginalized communities through various services and initiatives.
• Economic Systems: Developing financial structures to support their activities and the communities they serve.
• Media and Communication: Operating radio stations, publications, and satellite channels to influence public opinion and disseminate their messages.
• Security and Defense: Maintaining armed wings to defend their communities against external threats.
For instance, Hezbollah in Lebanon has evolved into a significant political and social force, engaging in various non-military activities that contribute to its legitimacy and influence within Lebanese society.
Similarly, the AnsarAllah in Yemen have established administrative structures and social services in areas under their control, functioning beyond the scope of a traditional militia.
Labeling these multifaceted organizations as mere “militias” undermines their legitimacy and fails to capture the comprehensive nature of their operations. It’s essential to recognize that the Axis of Resistance is not a monolithic entity; it comprises diverse groups with varying cultural, religious, and national backgrounds, including Sunnis, Shias, Kurds, Yezdis, and even Christians. This diversity reflects their broad appeal and the inclusive nature of their resistance against oppression.
In contrast, terrorist groups like Tahrir al-Sham and al-Nusra Front are more accurately described as militias. These organizations often engage in organized terrorism at the behest of external powers, aiming to destabilize legitimate governments and impose their own agendas — these are terrorist militias.
Therefore, the use of terms like “Shia militia” by certain Western outlets is not only inaccurate but also carries negative connotations that fail to capture the comprehensive and legitimate nature of these resistance movements. Recognizing the full spectrum of their activities and the values they uphold is crucial for an accurate understanding of their role in the region.

🇵🇸 Report | The occupation army has released footage of the arrest of Dr. Hussam Abu Safia and medical staff from Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Eyewitness testimony from individuals recently released from Kamal Adwan reveals the brutal treatment of Dr. Abu Safiya. Occupation soldiers reportedly flogged him with a street electrical wire, referred to as the "Norwegian wire," known to be even more painful than a whip. They also forced him and other hospital staff to strip before transferring them to an undisclosed location. This abuse took place at the field investigation headquarters in the Al-Fakhoura area.
These firsthand accounts directly contradict the propaganda video released by the occupation army, which seeks to mislead the public by falsely claiming humane treatment of Dr. Abu Safiya and other hospital staff.

🇸🇾 Report | First statement by the Syrian resistance.
“After nearly three weeks of armed gangs taking power in Syria with the approval and blessing of America, the Zionist occupation state, and NATO.
We have seen since the first day the malicious acts they committed, including thefts, violations, riots, corruption, chaos, sabotage and destruction of Syrian public property.
We have also seen the Hollywood films they made in the Saydnaya prison to gain public opinion and support, mocking the minds of the who believed in naivety and shared the lies. They were helped in this by media hype from Zionist channels, especially those of the Gulf, forgetting the prisons of the Zionist occupation and the war of extermination on Gaza.
We expected from day one that the future of Syria after 12/8 would be dark for its people, and we said that the “Wahhabi law of swords on necks” had come.
Some believed us at the time, while others continued to dance in delight at the imaginary “freedom” to the tunes of the Israeli bombing that did not stop for several nights, coinciding with an Israeli incursion and violation of the land and sovereignty of the state.
This was complete disregarded by the administration that took over the reins of power, until the so-called “Maher Marwan” made statements a day ago justifying the reasons for the Israeli bombing of the capabilities of the Syrian people and tickling the feelings of the enemy that the new administration does not have any problems with him and that it is prostrate and open to peace, and that Netanyahu’s problem was only with Iran and Hezbollah in Syria and that they got rid of these problems and now the so-called “Sharia” is fully prepared to implement and receive orders from Tel Aviv.
Indeed, the Zionist "Wahhabi" project began killing the sons of the Syrian people in the streets, homes and farms with the bullets of the new administration, the government of terrorist gangs, unjustly and aggressively, without any legitimate religious or legal justifications.
The decision to shed human blood is made by asking a question or by looking at an identity, and starving and besieging residential areas and bombing them with the children, women inside under the pretext of pursuing the "remnants of the regime." What kind of remnants are these and what false pretexts makes you bomb homes over the heads of their inhabitants?
But there is nothing strange about these actions, because whoever was taught by the Jewish ISIS will do what the Israeli army does in Palestine, where it bombs a building crowded with civilians and kills hundreds of martyrs under the pretext of pursuing the resistance.
Following the above, we, as a group from Damascus, the coast, and other cities, confirm the following:
The continuation of the armed gangs affiliated with the new administration in committing massacres against our people will be met with targeting your terrorist elements and leaders.
Our Syrian popular resistance has many surprises in store, and our youth are capable of reaching you in the middle of Damascus. We call on all concerned parties inside and outside Syria to force the terrorist administration represented by Ahmed al-Sharaa to stop its criminal operations against the Syrian people, so that a bloodbath does not occur, which is now just around the corner with the escalation of their terrorism and criminality.
We are still waiting for the blood shed to stop so that it is not said that we are instigators of sedition. We only want Syria to be Arab and independent, as it was for all components of our people."

🇮🇷 Breaking | The spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Ali Mohammad Naeini, declared that "Hezbollah’s operations have proven the Israeli regime’s calculations about Hezbollah’s strength to be entirely flawed.
After the assassination of Hezbollah commander Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah (r) and several senior and mid-level leaders, the Israeli regime experienced a brief moment of euphoria. However, Hezbollah, despite its losses, swiftly rebuilt itself, regained its strength, and began executing more precise, impactful, and devastating operations against the Israeli enemy."
He continued, "Hezbollah’s most recent operation forced a third of the population in the occupied territories to seek shelter in bunkers. With a force of just 15,000 fighters, Hezbollah completely paralyzed the Israeli regime’s army, equipped with the most advanced technology and weaponry in the world, during this war." Naeini stressed, "When there is a will to resist, Hezbollah’s leaders may fall as martyrs, but the movement rises from the rubble to shake the foundations of the Israeli regime. When the spirit of resistance prevails, even the strongest armies, believed to be invincible, can be thrown into disarray and defeated by Palestinian resistance."
Turning to Yemen, Naeini described it as "a pivotal force within the resistance axis, distinguished by its strategic wisdom, meticulous planning, and effective operations." He emphasized, "Yemen relies on its own resources to meet its needs, confronting the Israeli regime and the broader axis of evil with courage and determination. To date, it has targeted 216 ships connected to the Israeli entity."
He further noted, "When a people lack the will to resist, as happened in Syria, the enemy seizes the opportunity to occupy territory with ease. Syria’s collapse was the result of psychological operations and cognitive warfare."
Naeini concluded by asserting, "The IRGC will remain vigilant against its Israeli enemies and will not give them any opportunity to act."

🇱🇧 Report | Hussain Fadhllah of Lebanon:
The enemy is clearly breaching the agreement in a predictable manner and is provoking in an aggressive way. What is our position today? Here are several points:
• First: There is no return to war so far; the same factors that ended the previous war are still present, so the ceasefire remains in effect. Despite changes in Syria, its effects on us will take time to manifest.
• Second: The enemy is withdrawing on one hand while advancing on the other. This suggests temporary actions, not permanent ones. There is no consolidation but rather combing, which is generally positive and happens under the supervision of the army and resistance. However, it is done to provoke a response. If a response occurs, the enemy will claim the area is free of weapons, citing the agreement, using this as a pretext to undermine the agreement.
• Third: The enemy’s actions, such as attacks, will be reviewed later by the monitoring committee. This includes combing the area to ensure no weapons are present according to the agreement.
• Fourth: A positive outcome of these actions is the strengthening of the resistance’s position, given the failure of the army and state to prevent violations. It emphasizes the need for militarization since we face an enemy that can only be stopped by force.
• Fifth: If war breaks out again, would a two-month ceasefire be in our favor or the enemy’s? The answer is relatively in our favor. Despite incursions, the leadership needs time to restore the front, appoint field commanders, strengthen armament, and prepare better. A temporary ceasefire is preferable to constant conflict.
• Sixth: A key question: What is the red line for the leadership? There may be incursions, and the enemy may withdraw after achieving some field gains, but there must be a red line. If crossed, we may witness a response similar to Statement No. 2, such as an invasion of pivotal cities or the establishment of sensitive points.
• Seventh: We must control our emotions and avoid reacting with defeatist sentiments to every event. Calling for war without understanding its timing and readiness is ignorant. War has its people who understand it and know its proper timing.
• Eighth: Everything that happened can be avoided. Our silence is a tactical step backwards to avoid the enemy’s strike, to reload and prepare for a stronger response and recovery.
We have a month until the deadline ends, and regional events are accelerating. The battle may end, but the war will not, even if the enemy retreats. Everyone is preparing for the next war. We must take the initiative, restore, and prepare as much as possible to create a deterrent to prevent the repetition of what has happened.
Finally: Good is in what happened and in what is happening.
