❇️What is the IOF doctrine about Lebanon, and how is it happening now?

The Dahiya doctrine, also spelled Dahya doctrine, is an Israeli military strategy involving large-scale destruction of civilian infrastructure, or “domicide,” to pressure hostile governments. This doctrine was outlined by former IOF Chief of General Staff Gadi Eizenkot. Israeli Colonel Gabi Siboni stated that Israel “should target economic interests and the centers of civilian power that support the organization.” The aim is to cause enough suffering among the civilian population that they turn against the militants, forcing the enemy to sue for peace.

Gadi Eizenkot elaborates:

“What happened in the Dahieh quarter of Beirut in 2006 will happen in every village from which shots are fired in the direction of Israel. We will wield disproportionate power and cause immense damage and destruction. From our perspective, these are military bases. […] This isn’t a suggestion. It’s a plan that has already been authorized. […] Every one of the Shiite villages is a military site, with headquarters, an intelligence center, and a communications center.”

In response, Hezbollah’s current leader has set forth the Haifa Doctrine, which includes a reciprocal strategy targeting Tel Aviv, Nahariya, Acre, and other locations. This response is designed with no mercy for military installations hiding among settler communities. However, as civilians are involved, Hezbollah issues warnings to settlers to leave targeted areas because they are "humans". The Haifa Doctrine, implemented by Hezbollah, also includes potential actions against top Israeli leaders as part of the broader response strategy.

Moments ago, Martyrdom has been reported following an Israeli airstrike that targeted a tent of displaced Palestinians in Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip. Earlier today, Israeli occupation aircraft struck Salah Al-Din School, a shelter for displaced Palestinian families in western Gaza City, resulting in at least four civilians being martyred and several others, including women and children, injured. Since the start of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, Israel has deliberately targeted shelters and schools, committing atrocities against tens of thousands of displaced civilians. In another airstrike, at least two Palestinian civilians were martyred in an attack on a residential apartment in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip.

The continuous and unforgiving Israeli airstrikes have claimed the lives of at least 11 Palestinians this morning. The Israeli occupation persists in its brutal campaign against civilians, causing the martyrdom of innocent women and children. At least one Palestinian has been martyred and several others injured after Israeli warplanes targeted a group of civilians in Beit Lahya. Fire broke out in one of the buildings at Salah Al-Din School following an Israeli attack, and civil defense teams are working tirelessly to extinguish the flames.
