🏴 Passing of Ayatullah Ali al-Kurani (r).

Ayatullah Ali al-Kurani, one of the most renowned contemporary Islamic scholars (faqih) specializing in the topic of Imam Mahdi (AJ), has passed away today.

Born in 1944 in Jabal Amil near Tyre, in the village of Yader, Ayatullah Ali al-Kurani moved to Najaf at the age of 18 after completing his primary education. He studied under prominent scholars such as Ayatullah Muhsin al-Hakim, Sayyid Ala al-Bahrululum, Grand Ayatollah Abul-Qasim Khoei, and Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr. Ayatullah Muhsin al-Hakim sent him to Kuwait as his representative. After Ayatullah Muhsin al-Hakim’s death, he continued to serve in Kuwait as the representative of Grand Ayatollah Abul-Qasim Khoei.

In 1974, he returned to Lebanon, where he built a mosque and a hospital. In 1979, he survived an assassination attempt in Beirut by agents of the Saddam regime. Following this, he moved to the Islamic Republic of Iran, began teaching in Qom, and resided there until his death.

Ayatullah Ali al-Kurani was well-known for his appearances on various Arabic TV channels, where he frequently debated against Wahhabism. He authored many books, with one of his most significant works being “Asr az-Zuhur” (The Era of Appearance), which discusses the signs of Imam Mahdi’s (a.) reappearance and has been translated into English.

He frequently traveled through Europe, visiting Muslim communities, delivering lectures, and addressing their questions. He continually called for greater respect towards Western citizens, emphasizing the need to present a different image of Islam, as many in the West are only familiar with Wahhabism.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, students, and followers worldwide. May his soul rest in peace.

🇮🇷 Breaking | IRNA reports: Rescue teams have reached the general vicinity of the presidential team’s helicopter accident site. Approximately an hour after the incident was reported, rescuers arrived at the designated location and initiated the search.

Twenty rescue teams and drones have been dispatched to the area. However, the rugged mountainous terrain, dense forest cover, and adverse weather conditions, particularly heavy fog, are impeding progress. The search and rescue operation are expected to take time.
