We share the view that the collective West has actually turned Ukraine into a bridgehead for the continued military-political cultivation of the post-Soviet space and for subversive activities against the Union State. This is creating a direct threat to the vital interests of Russia and Belarus.

I mentioned what was done to suppress information about the flagrant violation of international humanitarian law in the east of Ukraine as a result of the Kiev regime’s activities. The West remained silent on this topic, covering up these misdeeds.
The OSCE principles and its institutions are being discredited by the Special Representative on Freedom of the Media who keeps increasingly silent when it comes to obvious infractions on the part of the Ukrainian regime or its Western sponsors.

Not only did the West ignore these warnings and start to develop (militarily) Ukrainian territory, but it also widely encouraged, in theory and practice, the neo-Nazi manifestations of the Ukrainian regime following the coup, which (judging by it all) could not have taken place without the consent (or even support) of the United States.

All of that unfolded against the background of Zelensky’s ensuing moves who, just like Poroshenko, was elected under the banner of bringing peace to Donbass. Instead of following up on his election promises, he instantly did an about-face and declared in August 2021 that if someone identifies as a Russian in terms of culture, language or traditions, they should clear out for Russia. All of that was unfolding amid total silence on the part of the West, or rather, was encouraged by it.

⚡️ Sergey Naryshkin, Director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, said that his agency getting reliable reports that the Ukrainian armed forces have been using nuclear power stations to store arms and ammunition supplied by the West. This includes the most expensive and rare systems the Ukraine Armed Forces are receiving for the HIMARS MRLs and foreign air defence systems, as well as large-calibre artillery shells. Several train cars carrying the deadly cargo from abroad transited through Rafalovka station to the Rovno NPP in the last week of December 2022 alone.
The plan of the Kiev regime is clear. The Ukrainian Armed Forces command hides the ammunition in the rear, using nuclear reactors as their shields, just like when the Banderites shell cities in Donbass and other borderline Russian regions from behind the backs of innocent Ukrainian civilians. The idea is that the Russian Armed Forces would not target NPPs with their strikes, fearing a nuclear disaster. If the warehouses detonate or a nuclear power station is destroyed by yet another Ukrainian air defence missile after it veers off course, they can always blame Moscow for the tragedy. Kiev is confident that this would be the case, considering the tacit approval by the West of the Ukrainian artillery strikes against the Zaporozhye NPP.

However, instead of taking just a few civilians hostage, the Kiev regime uses tens or even hundreds of thousands of civilians in its own and neighbouring countries as hostages. It is our hope that it does not occur to anyone in Kiev to deliberately set off explosions at these warehouses with the expectation that this would enable them to get even more weapons and ammunition from the United States and its allies.

💬 On January 1, 2023, Russia took over the chairmanship of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
It is obvious that the Union has every opportunity to become one of the strong, independent, self-sufficient poles in the emerging multipolar world.
Developing the technological potential of EAEU member states, attaining genuine independence and self-sufficiency in this sphere should become one of the most important strategic priorities of our joint work.
🌐 I would like to specifically stress the importance of building mutually beneficial and equal cooperation between the union and external partners and international associations.
Expanding the geography of the EAEU’s international links and contacts with countries in the Asia-Pacific Region, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America would help boost exports of the union’s products and build new logistics chains.
☝️ We count on close cooperation and support from the EAEU member states in the practical implementation of the priorities of Russia’s presidency in 2023.

President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly pointed out that the West is using the same colonial methods it used before to exploit the developing continents and continues to use them in order to plunder other countries and to use resources of global importance for its own gain.
The West’s actions prove that it can trample over the values and the globalisation mechanisms that it created and promoted, including inviolability of property, fair competition, or the presumption of innocence at any time, and can betray its allies at any time as well. This can be seen in the practice of the fairly recent events in Afghanistan, Iraq and the 2011 Arab Spring.

💬 Ежегодно 27 января в музее «Аушвиц-Биркенау», расположенном на месте бывшего нацистского лагеря смерти в Освенциме, проходит памятное мероприятие, посвящённое годовщине освобождения узников Красной армией. До 2021 года в его программу традиционно входило выступление Посла России в Польше. Входило.
В январе 2022 года российским дипломатам впервые не предоставили слова. А в мае и вовсе закрыли постоянно действовавшую в блоке № 14 экспозицию, подготовленную Центральным Музеем Великой Отечественной войны. Под смешным (или всё-таки грустным?) предлогом: мол, истёк срок действия эксплуатационных договоров между польским и российским музеями. Это было сделано втихую: российскую сторону никто о закрытии даже не уведомил. Более того, польская сторона два с лишним месяца попросту бегала от партнёров в лице московского музея и российских дипломатов, увиливая от прямого диалога.
Казалось бы, куда лицемернее? Запросто. В этом году диппредставителей государства-продолжателя СССР, чьи воины спасли мир от фашистской чумы, на годовщину освобождения лагеря... не пригласили вовсе.
Действительно, если уж вымарывать историческую правду и теперь уже неудобную память об освободителях, то полностью, чтобы русские лица на мероприятии не будили немецкую и польскую «совесть».
Тем, кто поспешит вписывать эту неприглядную историю в контекст текущего кризиса, замечу, что в действительности проблемы в Аушвице начались не в 2022-м году. И даже не в 2014-м. А в теперь уже далёком 2004-м.
Тогда дирекция осталась недовольна материалами, подготовленными российскими экспертами к 60-летию освобождения лагеря. Так упёрлись, что пришлось отложить открытие обновлённой экспозиции аж до 2013 года. Предлог, как всегда, выбрали небанальный: не устроило, что выходцы с территорий, вошедших в состав нашей страны в 1939-1941 годах, упоминались в экспозиции как граждане СССР (!).
Как бы ни ухищрялись наши европейские «непартнёры» в попытках переписать историю на новый лад, память об ужасах нацизма и советских героях-освободителях не стереть. После закрытия экспозиции Музей Победы запустил онлайн-проект «Освенцим. Правда». На ресурсах РВИО, РИО, музеев, Министерства и наших загранучреждений регулярно публикуются исторические материалы, в т.ч. правда об освобождении Красной армией концлагерей фашистов в тех странах, что сегодня столь рьяно и самозабвенно поддерживают неонацистов на Украине.

💬 Every year on January 27, the liberation of camp prisoners by the Red Army is marked at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum located on the site of the former Nazi death camp. Before 2021, the programme always included an address by the Russian Ambassador to Poland. But not anymore.
In January 2022, Russian diplomats were not invited to speak at the event for the first time. In May 2022, they closed the permanent exhibition in Block 14, which was prepared by the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War. They did so for a laughable (or lamentable?) reason: the expiration of operating agreements between the Polish and Russian museums. It was done covertly; nobody had notified the Russian party. Moreover, the Polish side avoided a direct dialogue with the Moscow-based museum and Russian diplomats for over two months.
Can you imagine anything more hypocritical? Here you are then. This year, the diplomats of the country successor of the Soviet Union, whose soldiers saved the world from the Nazi plague, have not been invited to the event at all.
Indeed, if you are set to cancel the historical truth and memory of the liberators that has become unacceptable, this should be done completely, so that no Russian faces at the event would stir up Germans’ and Poles’ conscience, if there is any.
I would like to tell those who will eagerly explain the situation with the ongoing conflict that problems did not begin at Auschwitz in 2022, and not even in 2014 but as far back as 2004.
That year, the museum’s authorities were displeased with the materials Russian experts prepared for the 60th anniversary of the camp’s liberation. They refused to budge, and the opening of the renewed exhibition was postponed until 2013. As usual, they had an ingenious reason: people from the regions that were incorporated into the Soviet Union in 1939-1941 were referred to as Soviet citizens (!).
No matter how hard our European non-partners may try to rewrite history, memory of the horrors of Nazism and the heroic Soviet liberators will not be erased. After our exhibition at Auschwitz was closed, the Victory Museum launched an online project, Auschwitz: The Truth. The Russian Military History Society, the Russian Historical Society, Russian museums, the Russian Foreign Ministry and its foreign offices regularly post historical materials online, including the truth about the liberation by the Red Army of Nazi camps in the countries that are so eagerly and ardently supporting the neo-Nazis in Ukraine now.
