Eight months from today, my father’s appeal trial will take place. Already over 7,500 people support the campaign for the aquittal of Homayoun. For two years now, he has been held in prison in Greece under inhumane conditions. Homayoun Sabetara (59) was fleeing Iran when he was arrested and sentenced to 18 years in prison for alleged „smuggling.“
The European Union’s border policy is responsible for the criminalization of people like my father. Currently, over 2,000 migrants are imprisoned on the charges of alleged „smuggling“ in Greece alone. Support us now by sharing our video and signing our petition. Your solidarity will help us raise awareness for Homayoun and many others.
