#Nostalgiemaschine

People of Puerto Rico are US citizens without voting rights. More than 40 million Spanish speakers live in the US. I used to live in a neighborhood that was heavily influenced by Spanish culture for a few months. From spanish signs and graffiti, to the grandmas who sold churos at the train station and the "ay, papi" from the teller at the gaz station. This is a reality in the US that no reactionary backlash can reverse.

He reigned for only 5 years. [source, comments]
