CELINA, Texas - Members of a Collin County community gathered Wednesday night to honor a man who acted as a coach and mentor to many young athletes.

"He ate, slept and breathed youth sports," Boddie’s wife, Thera, said.

Boddie coached his last game Saturday. 

"He coached my son that morning," Thera said. "Felt a little bit of pain in his chest and numbness in his arm."

His wife said he suffered a heart attack and died. He leaves behind two young children, 10-year-old Tyton and 14-year-old Isabelle, and his own siblings.

"You can’t explain why he died at 39," his wife said.

A high school student in Sandy Springs, Georgia passed away after a medical emergency during a flag football game on Wednesday.

The student has been identified as Eitan Force (13), a member of the senior class at The Weber School.

The school released a statement on the tragic incident, per CBS46News.

Dear Weber Students, Parents, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Community Friends: 

This afternoon during a Weber flag football game, a member of the senior class, Eitan Force, suffered a critical medical emergency on the field. Our trainers and staff immediately went to his aid prior to the arrival of emergency healthcare professionals. Eitan was transported to a local hospital for further care. Tragically, we received word that Eitan passed away earlier this evening.

Drag performer and mental health nurse George Ward, known by their stage name Cherry Valentine, has died at the age of 28, their family have announced.

A statement from their family said: 'It is with the most heart-wrenching and deepest sadness to inform you that our George - Cherry Valentine - has tragically passed away.

'This will come as a profound shock to most people and we understand there is no easy way for this to be announced.

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The father of the La Salle College High School senior who died suddenly after a soccer game is talking about his son, who was loved by so many.

On Saturday night (10.30.2021), 17-year-old Blake died suddenly from a cardiac incident.

The La Salle College High School senior and soccer team manager had no prior health conditions and was out with his teammates celebrating their Catholic League championship win when he collapsed.

Paramedics rushed Blake to the hospital but he never woke up.

William Fairfax (24) of the prominent Fairfax family has sadly passed away, unexpectedly on September 9, 2022.

A 27-year-old US Marine from Philadelphia died suddenly on Thursday, Sept. 22, his family says.

Zack Estrin, the respected writer-producer and showrunner known for his work on Fox’s “Prison Break” and Netflix’s recent revival of “Lost in Space,” died Sept. 23 in Hermosa Beach, California. He was 51.

Estrin’s death has come as a shock to family and friends as he was known to have been in good physical health. The circumstances of Estrin’s death were not immediately clear but it is believed he suffered a form of cardiac arrest while jogging on the beach.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland Division of Police announced Saturday they are mourning the death of a 38-year-old officer.

Officer Clayton Ellenberger, a husband and father, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Aug. 31, according to his obituary.

On Sept. 23, Recruit Officer Marquis Kennedy and other members of his training class were participating in defensive tactics. Kennedy told training staff that he was not feeling well, then he was removed from the exercise and told to sit with another staff member for monitoring. 

Police said a short time later, he collapsed and training staff performed CPR until paramedics arrived. He was transported to a nearby hospital. 

Kennedy was pronounced dead on Sept. 25. Police say his cause of death is unknown.

SEAFORD, Del. – TidalHealth has announced the sudden and unexpected passing of Dr. Harry Anthony.

The 22-year-old daughter of Rahway Mayor Raymond Giacobbe and his wife, school board member Laura Giacobbe, has died.

Annabella Marie Giacobbe passed away on Saturday following a recent medical procedure.

She was a recent graduate of Rutgers University.  She had been on the Girls Indoor Track and Field team at Union Catholic High School.

On Friday, Sept. 23, officials announced that Sam Stacks, 49, had died. Officials stated Stacks suffered an illness, was hospitalized and passed away on Sept. 22 at a Central Texas medical facility.

He was the fire chief of Burnet County ESD9/Spicewood Fire Rescue.

Due to legislation associated with the circumstances of Stack’s illness, his passing will be designated as “line of duty” death which assists with benefits, officials said.

Coolio, whose real name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr., died Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at age 59. He was visiting a friend in Los Angeles when he collapsed in the bathroom.

Coolio's longtime manager, Jarez, says Coolio went to the bathroom at his friend's house, but when he didn't come out after a while ... the friend kept calling for him, and eventually went in and found Coolio laying on the floor.

We're told the friend called EMTs, who arrived and pronounced Coolio dead on the scene -- and Jarez tells us the paramedics suspect he suffered cardiac arrest.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ no drugs or drug paraphernalia were found at the scene of Coolio’s death. An autopsy and toxicology test will be used to determine an official cause of death.

Parveen Shankar (41), a blind cricketer who played for New Zealand Blindcaps, died suddenly on Tuesday, September 27.
Shankar went to bed on September 25 at the home he shared with his parents in Ranui but sadly did not wake up.
His sister-in-law Archana said everyone is in shock as aside from his blindness, Parveen was not ill and was still regularly playing cricket.

“Despite his disability, Parveen was always determined to live his life to the fullest. He is a superstar who has touched many lives.”

Baby Alexander was born January 3rd at 11:09 pm. I noticed he was having difficulties breathing and would often choke. After one such episode, a nurse rushed him away, and in subsequent x-rays and ultrasounds, it was discovered that he had tracheoesophageal fistula, and Double Outlet Right Ventricle. Since neonatal heart surgeons are rare, he had to be life-flighted to Sacred Heart Children's Hospital in Spokane, WA. 

Final update. They gave him a blood transfusion and ignored our requests for directed donation until too late. Within days of the transfusion, he developed an enormous clot that eventually stretched from his left knee, all the way to his heart. The MRSA colonized the blood clot and no amount of medication nor antibiotics could shrink the clot or remove the infection. He rapidly went downhill, and died at 6:45 Thursday evening, 02-17-2022.

Regan Laine Lewis, 20, of Grinnell, KS, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Kearney Regional Medical Center, in Kearney, NE.

Regan was good at caring for people, which lead her to pursue a career in nursing. Regan worked her way up from a CNA to a CMA, and then in May of 2022, became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Colby Health and Rehab and was continuing her studies at Colby Community College to receive her Associates Degree in Nursing and become a Registered Nurse.
