This past weekend was filled with training, as we welcomed the founders of Patria Gloria Jiu-Jitsu for Circle of Honor on Friday, and again for a highly educational 3.5 hour Sunday session.

Gearing up for tomorrow night’s OpWW “Midnight Mass”

I’ll be walking off the mats from my final roll and taking a swig of champagne as the clock strikes midnight.

The bitter cold has gripped our dojo this winter.
The road down has been impassable by car for weeks, only just now thawing out enough for 4WD.
The hike down is a welcome and peaceful respite from the constant noise of our modern days.
I’ll miss making this trek in the dark mornings and sunset evenings…but more snow is forecasted to head our way next week, so maybe I’ll keep trudging down.
I hope you all are ending your week by hitting the mats.
I’ll see you out there.
