Latest study using the veil of darkness test for racial bias, with a sample of nearly 20 million traffic stops from 15 states during the 60 min critical time period, finds no evidence of racial bias.

The paper also finds that the association between local rates of racial bias predict the rate at which black people are pulled over equally well during the day and night.

Well, I'm just going to have to be mean about this, but not all names are equal. Some names sound stupid. I can think of White names which sound dumb:
Angus, Barbie, Baxter, Betty, Bessie, Becky, Butch, Kurt, Gus, Doug, Garth, Gilbert, Gunther, Igor, Keegan, Mort, Nevaeh, Peggy, Rufus, Shelby, Waldo, Ridge, Dick, Gaylord, Bob, Bill, Billy, Mackenzie, Bella, Libby, Toby, Sasha, Malka, etc;
and I can also think of Black names which sound dumb:
Lafawnda, Shaniqua, Shaquan, Anfernee, Shaligua, Ja'Quarius, Latonda, Shequeeda, Tyisha, Mar'Quita, Toree, Ty'Ressha, LaQueesha, Shawanda, Tysheena, Tomique, Shalonda, Laquisha, Condoleeza, M'eshell, N'degeOcello, Mubinge, Dwayne, Aaliyah, Fatoumata, Dominique, LaTanisha, Tyreese, etc.
I can also think of Black names which don't sound dumb:
Lexus, Cosby, Cleveland, Carvey, Demarcus, Jasmine, Shanice, Darnell, Jamal, Maurice, Xavier, Terrance, etc.

Given the IQ gap, we'd expect Blacks to be more likely to pick names which sound dumb and to not be able to think of as many options to choose from given their more limited vocabulary.
Subjectively, it seems like this is the case: Some Blacks engage in a weird practice where they take the two parents names and mash them together to create the child's name. I've also noticed Blacks engaging in a practice where they'll take a White name, give it to a kid, have it be pronounced normally, but spell it wrong. While the White names of old were probably filtered for popularity over hundreds of years with anything dumb being filtered out, anything new has not had to survive any such selection effect. Indeed, in Freakonomics, it has been noted that "nearly 30 percent of the black girls are given a name that is unique among the names of every baby, white and black, born that year in California."

For many Civic Nationalists who grew up on 80s culture, this image represents a time when Blacks and Whites "got along." They didn't get along, but that's the belief, and many CivNats want to return to when such sentiments were...credible. That is, a time when their neighborhoods were all White with a token non-White who served the purpose of reassuring them that they weren't "racist."

But baked into these cinematic moments is the White audience's tacit, implicit expectation of White Primacy, as Devon Stack would say. Carl Weathers is seen as Arnold's peer, his "equal" but Arnold is the star, the hero. This is what the White audience wanted.

Superficially, the idea conveyed is that we're past race, but deep down, no one wants that. Especially not 80s nostalgists. The time they want is one in which Whites and White culture are dominant with token Black guys who serve to accentuate certain ideas and moral paradigms.
