That’s why you never see a conservative government acting on anything. The social values of conservative MPs that people elect are basically the same as of labour voters. If they were different then we’d see reforms.

This is precisely why I advocate for a direct democracy like in Switzerland! The elites will never represent us. We need to represent ourselves.
