Japanese electronics giant Casio teams up with Polygon Labs to launch its virtual G-SHOCK watch on Polygon's protocols with an NFT-based collection of community access passes. Casio will invite users to submit design ideas for the G-SHOCK creator pass and vote on its appearance, with the winning design becoming a variant of the NFT pass. Casio customers already registered for a CASIO ID at the company’s membership site can participate in the pre-distribution stage on September 23rd.

Krafton, the game studio behind battle royale shooter PUBG, has introduced Settlus, a purpose-built blockchain in the Cosmos interoperability network that offers a transparent settlement system for creators. The network will have multiple features including gas fee in stablecoins, bridgeless NFT interoperability, usage of NFTs for royalty rights, on-demand payout through transaction records, and integration as a built-in blockchain module. The testnet launch is planned for early 2024.

Visa has announced the expansion of its stablecoin settlement capabilities to include the Solana blockchain, in addition to existing capabilities on Ethereum. Visa has already moved millions of USDC between its partners over the Solana and Ethereum blockchain networks to settle fiat-denominated payments authorized over VisaNet. Earlier in May, Visa also experimented with Goerli testnet smart contracts aimed at transaction-free payments.

MetaMask, a web3 wallet provider from Consensys, will add a new feature called "cash out", allowing its clients to convert crypto into fiat and have the money sent to their bank account.
