PancakeSwap (CAKE) has announced the expansion of its DEX to Polygon zkEVM
PancakeSwap decentralized exchange will go live on the Polygon zkEVM network. This move follows the network's plans to expand its user base and build protocol revenues. The deployment on Polygon zkEVM will provide lower fees and faster transactions for users transacting on the zkEVM network. Polygon zkEVM is a Layer 2 solution that could give users both the scalability benefits of ZK proofs and compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine. Currently, PancakeSwap runs on the BNB Chain, Ethereum and Aptos blockchains.

Polygon Labs has disclosed its plans to unify new L2 zero-knowledge chains, using new staking and interoperability layers as part of Polygon 2.0. The firm plans to upgrade the project into a Layer 2 ecosystem by utilizing a shared zero-knowledge infrastructure to power all networks within the future ecosystem.
