LayerZero's omnichain messaging protocol is now live on Scroll testnet. Scroll is a native zkEVM Layer 2 for Ethereum that processes transactions off-chain, and posts succinct proofs of correctness on-chain. LayerZero has raised $263M from investors including a16z, Sequoia, Binance Labs, and Circle Ventures.

EigenLayer has deployed its restaking protocol on the Ethereum (ETH) mainnet
EigenLayer, the DeFi platform, launched its protocol on the Ethereum mainnet. The protocol allows those staking $ETH to restake on EigenLayer by depositing liquid staking tokens including Lido ETH (stETH), Rocket Pool ETH (rETH) and Coinbase wrapped staked ETH (cbETH). EigenLayer raised $64.5M at a valuation of $500M in a series of funding rounds backed by Polychain Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Blockchain Capital, and others.

Ripple (XRP) has teamed up with Colombia's central bank to explore blockchain use cases
Ripple, a money transfer network, has announced a partnership with Colombia's central bank that will be aimed at exploring blockchain technology use cases in the country. Banco de la República will work with the information and communications ministry to pilot use cases to enhance the country's high-value payment system using Ripple's CBDC Platform. Previously, Ripple launched a platform for Central Banks to issue their CBDCs.

Coinbase has announced a partnership with Bitkey, Block’s self-custody wallet
Coinbase has partnered with Bitkey the self-custody bitcoin wallet app from Jack Dorsey's Block. Through this partnership, projects will integrate Coinbase Pay’s ability to transfer existing bitcoin and buy/sell bitcoin powered by Coinbase in the Bitkey self-custody wallet. The platform is still in beta testing, but a public launch is planned later this year.
