Polygon (MATIC) has announced the launch of testnet for the Layer 2 network Hermez
Polygon launches the testnet for Hermes, a type of Layer 2 scaling solution known as a zkEVM. Hermez runs on top of Ethereum and boosts its scalability by allowing it to process more transactions for a cheaper price. Aave and Uniswap protocols will be deployed on the testnet to allow users to experiment with Hermez. Polygon acquired the Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution Hermez late last year for $250M.

Rye has announced the closure of the $14M investment round led by a16z crypto
Rye, a new e-commerce application programming interface has raised $14M in the funding round that was led by a16z crypto. Solana Ventures, GOAT Capital, L Catterton, Electric Ant, Electric Feel Ventures have also participated in the round.
