An association of leading broker-dealers, global market makers, and venture capital firms will launch the new cryptocurrency exchange called EDXM. Backers of the project include Charles Schwab, Citadel Securities, Fidelity Digital Assets,Virtu Financial, Sequoia Capital and Paradigm. The firm's trading platform will be provided by the Members Exchange (MEMX), a U.S. stock market owned by a consortium of financial firms including some of EDX's creators.
