Tether, the largest stablecoin issuer, discloses its plan to become a major bitcoin miner. During the next six months, the company plans to invest about $500M in the development of its mining facilities in three countries, including Uruguay, Paraguay and El Salvador. This investment includes part of a $610M credit facility that Tether had extended to publicly-traded Bitcoin mining company Northern Data AG.

Kronos Research, a cryptocurrency trading, market-making, and venture investment firm, halts the trading on its platform amid a $25M API key hack investigation. According to the investigation, the six transactions, worth 2,780, 2,540, 2,540, 2,636, 4.93, and 2,507.52 $ETH, respectively were made from a Kronos Research account to various addresses owned by the hacker.
