Binance Labs, the venture capital and incubation arm of Binance, invests in Initia, a Move Layer 1 Network on Cosmos with customizable Optimistic rollups for application developers to easily launch their own L2. Mastercard has announced the launch of technology that would enable CBDCs to interoperate with different blockchains and be leveraged by authorized parties in a safe and secure way. This innovation comes as a result of Mastercard’s participation in the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) and the Digital Finance Cooperative Research Centre’s (DFCRC) central bank digital currency (CBDC) pilot project explored potential use cases for a CBDC in Australia. Earlier in August 2023, Mastercard formed a CBDC partner program jointly with Ripple and ConsenSys.

Arbitrum has closed the first voting round for STIP, a Short-Term Incentive Program comprised of up to a 50M $ARB budget earmarked for incentive grants for eligible protocols. To succeed, an application must reach a 71.51M ARB Quorum and receive more than 50% of votes in favor of the proposal. After the voting completion, GMX, Gains Network, and MUX Protocol are making top-3 receivers with approximately $8M, $5.6M, and $4.8M grants respectively.
