🇫🇷 Paris introduced the mandatory wearing of masks on the street

On the streets of Paris, the use of protective masks again becomes mandatory from 31 December due to the outbreak of COVID-19 infections caused by the omicron coronavirus strain, the city police said.

This requirement applies to persons over 11 years of age "with the exception of people moving inside cars, motorcyclists and cyclists or those who play sports."

The prefecture warned of strict enforcement of the requirement to wear masks everywhere, especially in crowded places in Paris, threatening with a € 135 fine.

At the same time, it was announced that drinking establishments would be closed on Saturday and Sunday from 2 am and that dancing was banned in all places that host the public.
