While Jacinda Ardern once confidently declared that New Zealand would become a republic in her lifetime, many of us look across the Pacific and see a different lesson:

America’s unmatched success as a sovereign, self-governing republic built on freedom and enterprise.

We are proud of our own spirit, but we could use more of your optimism, your defence of open debate, and your confidence in the free people.

FIRST AUSTRALIAN CONVICTED FOR TRAFFICKING IN CHILDREN

Australia Federal Police reported:

An Arncliffe man who ran an organised crime syndicate that profited from human trafficking between Australia and Indonesia has today been sentenced to six years and five months’ imprisonment, with a non-parole period of four years and five months.

The man, now 45, is the first Australian to be convicted for trafficking in children after he facilitated the transportation of a 17-year-old from Indonesia to Sydney to engage in sex work in 2024.

A 32-year-oldSydney man has also been sentenced to two years and eight months’ imprisonment for his role in transporting the syndicate’s victim throughout Sydney to engage in forced labour.

The two-year investigation into the human trafficking syndicate – known as Operation Mirani – began in December 2022, after the AFP received intelligence that foreign nationals were arriving in Australia and being forced into sexual servitude in breach of their visa conditions.

Specialist AFP Human Trafficking investigators, with the assistance of Australian Border Force, the Department of Home Affairs and the Indonesian National Police (INP), worked to identify and disrupt the syndicate’s operations in Australia and offshore.

For anyone wondering about protestor of Modi's visit.

The largest group were Indian supporters shouting "Modi".

A small group of 10-20 men (half dressed in black like antifa) held a Reimegration sign but we're drowned out by the Modi supporters.

Another group of Indian Sikhs were protesting and waving New Zealand flags and the yellow flag.

Behind them were the Pro Palistine protestors.

No reports of Brian Tamaki.

Not long ago we shared that Aimee Jane Bearda's caravan had been stolen. Here is the great news from Madison regarding Aimee’s caravan:

Yesterday (10th), I received a phone call from someone who had purchased Aimee's caravan, completely unaware at the time that it had been stolen. They explained that they had unknowingly become involved after the theft, believing the sale was legitimate.

Once they discovered the truth, they contacted me, sincerely apologised for their part in what had happened, and acknowledged that they wished they had come forward sooner. Most importantly, they did the right thing in the end.

Aimee's caravan has now been returned!

This outcome wouldn't have been possible without the amazing support from our community.

To everyone who sent through information, kept an eye out for the caravan, shared our Facebook posts and the Givealittle page, donated, offered words of encouragement, or even reached out with offers of temporary accommodation while Aimee faced the uncertainty of having her home stolen—thank you. But the latest version by Christopher Nolan, The Odyssey, a 2026 epic fantasy action film, is another Hollywood Marxist DEI for hire. Online this controversy is again highlighting the need to please certain sectors of society. But is there something deeper at play? Is our entire civilisation being redefined?

The criticism has largely centered on the race-swapping of Helen of Troy by casting Lupita Nyong'o, as well as the inclusion of biological female Elliot (Ellen) Page, (now posing as a man), as the Greek warrior Sinon.

Other complaints include the modernised dialogue and the film's apparent inspiration from Emily Wilson's liberal translation of the Greek Epic.

Matt Walsh took to social media to complain that “not one person on the planet actually thinks that Nyong’o is ‘the most beautiful woman in the world,'” adding that Nolan “is technically talented but a coward.”

Elon Musk agreed, accusing Nolan of changing the character’s ethnicity because “he wants the awards.”

Roger Scruton argued that culture is never neutral. Great works of art and literature are not raw material to be endlessly deconstructed and reassembled according to contemporary political fashion. They are part of a civilisational inheritance that transmits meaning, memory, and a sense of belonging across generations. When foundational stories are deliberately altered to serve modern ideological purposes - whether through identity-based casting or the imposition of feminist frameworks that the original text does not support - the goal is often not artistic renewal but cultural subversion.

This approach has clear intellectual roots. Antonio Gramsci understood that political power could be achieved by capturing the institutions of culture rather than through direct economic revolution. The Odyssey is not merely a story about one man’s journey home. It is a profound meditation on order, loyalty, courage and the restoration of rightful authority. When such works are repurposed to advance contemporary ideological goals, something important is lost. The public is no longer invited to encounter a great civilisation on its own terms but is instead instructed to view it through a present-day lens, which is most often about oppression and grievance.

A culture that cannot defend the integrity of its foundational stories eventually loses the ability to defend anything else. And of course, that is exactly what the cultural Marxists want.
