Sue Grey appeared in front of a Judge this afternoon, where no further action would be taken, but a full transcript would be sent to the Law Society for review.
This all transpired following an earlier appearance where she was supporting a Golden Bay Cafe owner with his case.
She has clarified to CSM that she was not appearing as a Mckenzie friend.
She wanted to make the court aware of an earlier judgment Fahey v. Queen, NZCA 596 [2017].
This ruling was about options for defendants who don't know how to deal with defending themselves. There are several options, including amicus curiae or "standby counsel".
MSM conveniently left this part out, instead stating Sue's manner was inciting supporters, and quoted the judge as saying at the point she was put into custody there was โvirtually a riotโ.

This was followed by a cross examination by Brad, where evidence presented by store employees of Tikipunga Liquorland was questioned.
The mask mandate exemption was thoroughly examined, & it was established & confirmed by Constable Brown, that he did not have any powers to demand evidence of Bradโs exemption status nor to issue a $1000 fine.

Judge Rzepecky has reserved his decision for Brad's case until 15 February 2023.
In Brad's closing address, he asked to renew the application to have the trespass notice thrown out.
He said he didn't receive a charge, and he also didn't plead guiltily.
He stated the case was about self-defense and the right to defend himself.
It was observed that Brad stood strong in quoting the appropriate sections of the policing act.
Brad maintained throughout that Constable Browns interactions were aggressive and not in line with section 22 of the Policing Act in terms of "keeping the peace."

However, the case has now been moved to Taupo.
Since Friday Graham has been transferred from Waikeria (Te Awamutu), to Springhill (Hampton Downs) & to Rotorua Police Station, only to be taken to Taupo today.
Graham's supporters say that it seems that along with empathy, a moral compass, respect & integrity - rational thinking & common sense are severely lacking in some at โCorrections NZโ.

The case of Baby Will has received international attention in recent weeks. Will needed heart surgery, and his parents, quite reasonably, requested that the surgeons use blood that did not contain a Covid vaccine. The logic of Willโs parents was that the Covid vaccines have not been adequately tested and therefore are not safe to put into an infant. The Government disagreed.
The Governmentโs position, as it always is, is that the Government decides what youโre allowed to do and what youโre not allowed to do.

Alexandra is a successful entrepreneur. Before COVID, she founded a few startups, sold them, and retired, hoping to focus on pleasant things like painting & traveling, etc.

BEAN ME UP CAFE UPDATE
On Tuesday, we caught up with Holly & Hannah, the daughters of Sharon Gertrude.
Sharon, owner of the Bean Me Up Cafe in Kaikลura, was sentenced on December 2, on two charges under the Food Act 2014 brought by the Kaikลura District Council.
The charges were knowingly selling non-complying food and failing to comply with a notice of direction under the Food Act 2014.
Sharon is currently serving her sentence in Christchurch Women's Prison and is due for release on December 28, if people are interested in supporting her.
On Monday, the Council again visited the cafe, and as a result, it will remain closed until further notice.
We look forward to catching up with Sharon to hear her story when she is free.
Sharon has been a huge supporter of the freedom movement and anyone who needed a safe space during "Covid-19".
