Far be it from me to tell my British friends what to do. Believe me, I understand the desire to defend your monuments and memorials.
However, keep in mind that honourable Brits will either be numerically overwhelmed by drugged up fools, or the actions of a few drugged up fools will dominate the cameras.
Memories are short these days, so here’s a reminder of what happened during the 2020 BLM riots.
Men with tattooed faces clashed with police, a drunk pissed on a memorial, hundreds were arrested, and once again the narrative was “white man bad”.
Optics matter. Don’t be fooled.
