Interesting line from an article on Covid and vitamin D: "Thus, similar to other virus infections such as influenza, we have to expect that the effectiveness of vaccination is limited in time, especially with the current vaccines designed to trigger an immunological response against a single viral protein [6–8]."
A real vaccine would contain the whole virus in dead form, meaning that it would trigger an immune response to the whole virus. The mRNA vaccines don't contain the virus. They trigger an immune response to only one component protein. Doesn't this guarantee weaker immunity than a conventional vaccine? What if that one protein mutates?
Surely immunity to the whole Covid virus is better than immunity to one of its proteins.
