House votes to censure Rep Jamaal Bowman for fire alarm stunt

The censure resolution was introduced by Rep. Lisa McLain, R-MI., as "privileged" on Tuesday. This required the House to act on it within 2 legislative days.

The House voted 214 to 191, to censure Bowman who pulled the alarm which required evacuation of the premises and stopped important voting that was taking place.

3 Democrats voted with Republicans to censure him:

✔️Chris Pappas, D-N.H.
✔️Jahana Hayes, D-CT.

5 members of the House Ethics Committee voted "present."

The FBI Stole Millions From Individuals Who Were Not Charged With a Crime - the Victims Are Suing

The FBI used civil asset forfeiture to seize this property. This empowers local, state, and federal governments to take a citizen’s property, if they suspect that it has been used to commit a crime.

U.S. Private Vaults pleaded guilty to money laundering.

Although the U.S. Attorney’s Office indicated that it had not filed any other criminal charges against those whose property was seized, the government still has not returned the property to these individuals.

That is what prompted the lawsuit.

Items catalogued by the FBI included Cartier bracelets, Rolex watches and stacks of cash.

Interestingly: the warrant from the raid specifically barred law enforcement from seizing the private property contained in the safe deposit boxes.

Protecting Americans ActionFund (PAAF) is a group challenging leftist DA incumbents and candidates.

Despite a significant funding disadvantage in some of these races when compared to opposition resources for progressive candidates, PAAF’s involvement in 13 DA races in the 2022 midterm elections saw 9 Republican candidates they supported win their contests, this included Maricopa County, AZ.

In 2023, their wins included Louden County, VA, and Allegheny County, PA.

PAAF is looking at involvement in 20-30 races in 2024, possibly more.
