SMALL IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICE, PIPE BOMB FOUND INSIDE PHILADELPHIA HOME, POLICE SAY
A block in Philadelphia was evacuated on Sunday night after a suspicious device was found inside a residence.
The incident involved:
✔️the bomb squad
✔️police K-9s
✔️An investigation starting in the afternoon and ending at 1:00AM
Officers reportedly found a cardboard box with what appeared to be fuses coming out of it.
Very few details were released by authorities about what was discovered inside the home other than a small improvised explosive device and a small pipe bomb
A man inside the home has been charged at the state level with weapons offenses and narcotics.
Federal officials are investigating but there has been no word on further charges at this point.
