📹 Palestinian children formed long queues outside a charity kitchen in Gaza, waiting for lentil soup.
Despite the entry of a small number of aid trucks into Gaza last week, Palestinians have said the entire strip remains hungry and thirsty, with some "passing out while walking" due to hunger.
On Tuesday, the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, billed to take over aid distribution in the strip, released the first pictures of employees handing out aid to Palestinians.
The pictures come amid controversy over the foundation's transparency. Its chief Jake Woods resigned over the weekend, saying Israel's aid plan could not be implemented in accordance with humanitarian principles.
The foundation is also being investigated by a Swiss NGO amid concerns over its lack of transparency; suspicions have grown that it is intended to function as a shell company for Israeli and American governments in Gaza.

"UnitedHealth Group, the nation’s largest healthcare conglomerate, secretly paid nursing homes thousands in bonuses to reduce hospital transfers for frail residents—tactics that saved the company millions of dollars but may have endangered patient lives, according to a Guardian investigation supported by whistleblower testimony, leaked documents, and internal recordings.
The incentives were part of a UnitedHealth program that embeds its own medical teams in nearly 2,000 nursing homes nationwide. These teams were reportedly tasked with lowering healthcare spending for patients enrolled in UnitedHealth’s Medicare Advantage plans, in part by minimizing costly hospital admissions—even when emergency care was urgently needed."

"Obviously, the more people are involved, the better, and there's a reason to keep track of how many people are involved, but we really need to focus in on what we're getting people involved to do. And it's got to be something better, deeper, and more compelling than just telling people to express displeasure with how things are going."

'Following October 7, Microsoft signed $10 million in new contracts with the Israeli military. Through a secretive program called “Project Azure,” the company provided infrastructure for Israeli intelligence and air force units, including Unit 8200 and Unit 81. These are the same units compiling “kill lists” in Gaza.
The company stayed quiet until recently, when it admitted to providing “emergency support” to Israel. But insisted that there was “no evidence” its tech harmed civilians.
That’s not all. Microsoft previously poured $78 million into the Israeli surveillance firm AnyVision, whose facial recognition tech was deployed across the West Bank. It also powered an app developed by the Israeli military—“Al Munaseq”—which spies on Palestinian permit-holders. Its cloud systems processed their private phone data.
Worse still, Microsoft has been stacking its upper ranks with veterans of Israel’s Unit 8200, effectively embedding a foreign intelligence agency into the core of one of America’s most powerful corporations and building its next data centers in Israel.'

Thunberg and 11 other activists are currently on board the Madleen, a small ship carrying humanitarian aid, aim to breach Israel’s siege of Gaza in six days and to bring international attention to the ongoing starvation of Palestinians.
The ship is carrying urgently needed supplies including baby formula, flour, rice, diapers, women’s sanitary products, water desalination kits, medical supplies, crutches, and children’s prosthetics.
It’s organised as part of the @gazafreedomflotilla, an international group of activists who have been attempting to breach the 18 year siege on Gaza for more than since 2010.
In 2010, a large Turkish ship called the Mavi Marmara was intercepted by Israeli commandos, who boarded the vessel using helicopters and speedboats while still in international waters and killed 10 activists.
