New @Maxar satellite 📸 of Bakhmut show it's been utterly destroyed. Looking at them, I can hardly recognize the cinema, palace of culture, groceries, shops, bars, cafes, market I frequented over years of living & working in the once-vibrant eastern city.

But I can still recognize locations, even if buildings are in ruins. And it's devastating. So many lives upended. #Ukraine: A Russian Su-25 managed to return to the airfield after it was hit by a Ukrainian MANPADS. This is the second such known case since the beginning of the invasion, and once again confirms the high survivability of this type.
