😭 This war will never be over

I stumbled upon this post right before bed. Meta launches their AI that will be trained on our data (of course), including MESSAGES. And, of course, they will (not) anonomyze our data and share it ehically, right??

The thing is… it is extremely hard to opt out from sharing your data with Meta AI:
you need to go to instagram (in my case) on a web version -> go to settings -> find privacy center -> then you need to find a new privacy policy that will take force after December, 16

There is an application form to subject to sharing your info, however, you need to place some proof of misconduct???? wtf

Maybe, someone will find a way or provide a writeup for this challenge called “safeguard the data YOU OWN from Meta and fucking Zuckerberg” but I could not tackle it yet

What you CAN do now:
At least visit Account Center in the web version of insta or facebook -> review ads (in the screenshot) -> also unlink your accounts from each other -> manage sites -> and so on

The account center is easier to navigate

I am just really sad as keeping an insta account helps me keep an eye on my friends i don’t talk too much to and be updated without too much effort. I don’t have much time to even see 4 of my friends lol (adult life). A social media account helps you know who is where and is up to what exactly. Then, you can connect and help each other out quickly

But yeah, we live in a fucking capitalist world, where people are just wealth generators for someone who already has BILLIONS of dollars

Why no one hacked these morons yet???
