🧿 You might be wondering, “Why does Arbitrum need another Solidly fork?” We asked ourselves this same question. In our opinion, the current state of ve(3,3) on Arbitrum leaves a lot to be desired. This isn’t meant as a dig against our competition. In fact, we’re grateful to the projects that have come before us.
By studying what works and what doesn’t among our predecessors, we believe we’ve found the optimal version of ve(3,3) that can fulfill Andre Cronje’s original vision and become a true cornerstone of Arbitrum DeFi. By aligning incentives so that they benefit all of the protocol’s participants – its users, its partner protocols, and the ecosystem as a whole – its our mission to contribute in a meaningful way to the continued growth and success of the Arbitrum ecosystem.
🧩 At Chronos, there is no VC investment and no private token sale. Instead, we’ve chosen a bootstrapping model similar to the one first used by Thena: by raising funds through the sale of the chrNFTs, we’ll generate enough capital to bribe CHR’s initial liquidity. As the flywheel takes effect, the holders of these NFTs will become “Community VCs”, and will earn a share of protocol revenues into perpetuity.
